Get the DT2, I just received mine last week and love it! Loaded it up, and did six miles with it and it felt great, really carries a load well. My Badlands 4500 folded up on me 5 weeks ago, wound up carrying all the weight on my shoulders, and I decided to pull the trigger on the DT2, money well...
It depends on the length of trek to my stand. On a short walk, I will have it all on, with legs zipped open. Long walks i carry it in, and dress at the stand.
I used the Fanatic jacket and bibs last winter, and it has been the warmest, most comfortable system that I have ever owned. It is a well thought out design.

My wife's Prois Eliminator rain gear, not cheap, it didn't breath well, and soaked through in the first 2 hours of a 2 day rain last season. The Cabelas space gear saved her during that trip.
