    22 Creedmoor twist rate

Definitely dont need a 6.5 twist for heavies. Its not unknown for 7 twists to blow up 88 elds and 95smks (which are some of the heaviest) 88s will stabalize in an 8 twist in ALMOST all conditions down to sea level at Creedmoor Velocities). I would get a 7.5 if i had a choice.

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

New Zealand. Only rimfire semis now except for specialized permits. Id have to see the logistics if you could convince the Police here to allow the purchase/import of an AR lower and Solo 300 Upper. Only thing I didn't like about my old gasser was how bashed up it gets in rocky terrain but thats...

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

@Thegman Going to do a full component list for that rifle? Im so gutted we lost semis down here and the option to do something like this so affordably.

    22 Creedmoor twist rate

6.5t twist seems excessive what's the plan projectile wise

    Painless load development (mine)

Thats much better! it was only doing 2730 in 2 different 24 inch Bergaras. Was only 40fps faster than the 6.5 creedmoor factory ammo. Shot great though.

    Painless load development (mine)

How fast is the factory bondstrike in your rifle. Its been a very anemic load in the 2 rifles i have tried it in.

    The 22 creedmoor thread

Base to ogive on the 75 eld is .102" shorter than the 88. Boattail seems the same length or is damn close. That the 88 you have in the picture? I thought I was seated long at 2.75" I'll just send that away and have it chambered.

    The 22 creedmoor thread

Anyone regretted throating their barrel for 88s at a longer coal? Say around 2.75ish to keep the boat tail just above the shoulder-neck junction.

    Mechanical and Civil Engineering

Epic! I'm sure they pay for it some way. It's all about judging the pros and cons to each and picking what suits you.

    Mechanical and Civil Engineering

No one taking months off is getting paid. Atleast no one I know. If you mean taking months of to do something else then anyone can do it if they wanted to it just comes at the cost of other things.

    Mechanical and Civil Engineering

Fair enough. I like to do a few long hunting trips a year and by the time I visit family a couple times a year the 4 weeks we get in NZ is gone pretty fast. Luckily I work a bunch of overtime and I've found if your good at your job most companies will where possible try to be flexible when they...

    Mechanical and Civil Engineering

Is this typical in the states? I don't know what I'd do if I only had 2-3 weeks of leave a year. Can you take unpaid leave on top typically?

    Mechanical and Civil Engineering

Don't know the US opportunities but I have a civil engineering degree and found it awfully boring. I now no longer use the degree (well i dont work in civil engineering) and retrained (whilst doing the job) in a field I actually enjoy (id probably still be a mechanical engineer if id done that...

    Q&A Leupold Mark 4HD 2.5-10x42mm FFP TMR

Would be awfully low to get down on. There's a reason for the huge drop at heel for rifle designed for low mount irons.

What's your ideal iron as backups. I take it you would remove scope if you had too?

    Q&A Leupold Mark 4HD 2.5-10x42mm FFP TMR

Whats the issue with the reticle? I have 2 RS1.2s and dont see any glaring issues with the reticle. Ergonomics meaning eyebox, turret design (locking zero stop). Weight is a factor and you asked why people want to run it. They wanted it too work as the weights more reason. Obviously it's...
