Going for the first time this year. Going to validate my $5 entires and then looking forward to seeing some of the taxidermy. I saw Kifaru is doing big giveaways at their booth Friday and Saturday
I’m in the same boat with 7 NR points. Haven’t really been trying to build CO elk points, just have had other hunts the last few years so I haven’t applied. Trying to figure out the best archery unit to use them on now. A lot of options in the 2-5 range that I’ll be looking into
Sitka core lightweight hoody is my favorite piece of clothing I own. A new favorite I found last year was replacing my bladder with a hardside hydration bottle & hose
If @B_Reynolds_AK wins 1st & 2nd place I expect him to have a picture of a stone and desert to enter in next years contest!! What a season, congratulations!

I drew a OIL type of archery elk tag in Utah this year and was kind of faced with the same situation as you. Have done plenty of hunting out west DIY but decided to hire a guide to make the most of the tag I had. Ended up having an incredible hunt and don’t regret hiring a guide at all all. I...
Hang it in the shade unless it gets about 50 is my general rule. Unless you’re flying there is no reason you shouldn’t have coolers with you in my opinion
