Thanks, that’s helpful. I’ve tried so many gloves it’s ridiculous. Backcountry season where I’m at can be 75 during the day and 25 at night or 15 degrees and snowing. I have over-mitts for when I’m glassing or things get too wet. Hoping these are a little thicker than a typical liner (as they...
Peloton 240 acts a a lightweight soft shell/wind layer and super down pro. Covers a ton of temps in my area of the Sierra Nevada Mtns in fall/winter.

Just ordered the Graupel. Need something that has dexterity but can be worn in snow type conditions. I’ve got a bunch of gloves that are either too warm (not much dexterity), or too thin and soak any water they touch. These look like they might fit the niche I’m looking for.
I have plenty of...
KUIU Axis gloves in Vias size Large. Used, but in very good condition, just haven't used them that much. Touchscreen fingertips and very water resistant. $30 TYD via PayPal F&F, Goods and Services add $2, you pick. I will ship via USPS first class, and as always provide tracking info...
Well, I had to sell my Marsupial large pocket because my mega too large iPhone wouldn’t fit in it at all so the KUIU case stays until I find something better.

240 has a looser fit in the body and especially the arms. I can layer under it much better than a 260 or 280.
I treat the 240 as if it were a soft shell outer layer mostly. Love the piece. Sold my 280. However, the material on the 240 will snag much easier than the strong fleece.

I think a number of people have offered you advice on the Viper quality as well as some other options. The simple truth on binos is buy the best you can afford. If the Vipers are what you can afford, then great, they will be better than the Talons you currently have.
If you can afford a few...
I got both the B1’s and C1’s to try and while I really wanted to like the C1’s (price), the B1’s were so much better, I found the $ to upgrade to the B1’s.
You can find them here on the forum used at much lower than MSRP. That’s one con to Maven, resale value is low. Good for the buyer though...
I’ve owned BX-4’s, spent some time behind a buddies Vipers and also demoed the Maven C’s. IMO, at this price range, there is some subjectivity depending on everyone’s eyes. But I would put them in this order.
BX-4 > Maven C’s > Viper > Diamondback
The BX-4’s were noticeably the best of the...

KUIU Super Down Ultra vest. Bought this new a month ago. Basically brand new. No stains, rips, tears or signs of wear. Size XL in Olive color. $125 TYD PayPal F&F or G&S you pay the fees (3.5%). I will ship via USPS.
The BX-4 is a great pair of binos. I liked their clarity more than both the Maven C series and Vortex Viper. At this end of the spectrum (sub $500), glass can be more subjective to different people’s eyes.
If you can look through them yourself (outside in lower light if possible) that’s...
