    I’ve shot 4 elk at 600-700, All with the 7 rem. Missed a good speed goat last year at 870 with the 22 creed. I had a 6um spun up this year to be the do all. Of all the elk I’ve personally shot (20ish), average distance has been around 300 yards.

    Got the new rig out on Sat. Did a small latter test 65-67 .5 increments. I know these are 3 shot groups so don’t castrate me. This point going to load up the 66.5 charge and see where it takes us. Coal 2.890 Fire formed brass from UM. Fed 210M

    I’ll get some groups in ballistiX later, but did simple load development copying coal from Ryan and Form. Most likely will land on 66.5. 3 shot group I know.. Gun weights 9.6lb with can on. Pumped with how it shoots and feels. I’ll get some photos and specs later.

    7PRC/7mm rem over 300 prc

    OP what did you decide on? I personally went from a 7RM to 6.5 PRC a couple years ago. Handloading for each, I couldn’t tell a difference of how animals died. 6.5 was 3 lbs lighter than my rem mag, both breaked so recoil was NA.
