I am on my second pair of Schnees Timberlines. Loved the first pair and they held up really well and got a ton of miles out of them, threw them away because it hurt to hike more than 3 miles in them, think the footbed wore out. Anyway, I purchased a new pair at the end of 2023. Took them out...
This all happened pretty quick, I didn't really think, but I threw my hat (that was resting on my knee) at it, and hit it while yelling and lungeing at it. It jumped a few yards away, then I grabbed my shotgun off of my pack and backed out of there.
Might want to take another look at the regs. Pretty sure that lion season closes 31 March and doesn't open until August.

Bought these at the end of last year. Wore them once chukar hunting and realized they were too small for my feet. Forgot that they didn't fit me, and remembered they didn't fit last week when I tried to wear them again. Anyway, asking $220 or OBO plus shipping. Can do PayPal or Facebook pay...
I have not had an issue with the beartooths. I bought insulated granites in the same size and they are much more narrow than the beartooths, to the point they don't fit my feet.
Trying to unlock my account as well...I had a Kuiu Icon Pro, ran it for 2 seasons, hated it. The lumbar pad sat weird on me, to the point it was overly painful to pack out a deer. I bought an SG bag and I love it.
I trim all deer fat because I do not like the taste or the waxy feel it leaves in the mouth. I leave some elk and moose fat, I like the taste of the fat from each of them.
Uninsulated. I hunt ND Oct-Dec in -10 to 50s and do not have any problems with uninsulated when upland hunting. If its in the teens or lower and you stopped moving for an hour or so, then the feet start getting cold.
