Can you please let me know how it goes when you receive the sights? I’m particularly interested in Williams. I heard they fixed the issue for the MR-X’s but I wasn’t sure if that means the sights should now work on the original MR’s.
I have a CVA Accura MR (not the newer MR-X) which was originally setup with a scope but now needs to be switched over to open sights. Contradicting to what I’ve read in some older threads, the rifle came drilled for a front sight directly from factory. I’m very interested in peep and globe...
After trying both fixed and mechanical on open country mule deer in windy conditions, I’d go with a big mechanical all the way. My fixed are now reserved for elk although I’ll say I’m not a tree stand deer hunter.
I’m in a similar boat as I already own a Jetstream and a core lightweight hoody, both of which I love. I tried a Down Lite Jacket but it didn’t work well with the Jetstream. I think I’ve settled on the Ambient jacket as a midlayer that could be used with or without the other pieces for a well...
I shoot the same draw length and poundage. I’m really happy with RIP TKO’s and the standard 50 grain halfout they come with. While I’m not shooting rocks with them for fun, I’ve had zero durability issues on game. I use a 27” carbon to carbon arrow with 300 spine,125 grain tips and nockturnal...
I’ve been tempted to try this myself but start to lose patience just doing a regular fan mount. My thought is it’s all plucked and then individually glued. Be sure to post a picture if you give it a go!
For archery where ranging if often done with one hand, I’d go with a separate rangefinder. Longer range rifle hunting the all in one option makes a lot of sense. Just gotta decide which scenario you’re more likely to be in. I personally stick to a dedicated range finder for the versatility.
Me neither, it seems to do the job just fine for me.
Overall I really like the knife. It seems to lose an edge a tad fast but is also easy to touch up.
When it’s discounted I think it’s a very good option. The soft shell vest I own was well worth the price as it was heavily discounted. Same goes for the pieces I purchased for my father. I do own multiple pieces of Sitka for comparison and am still happy with the purchases.
