I have the quiver hoody and sentry jacket. I love both but even ordering a size up the sentry jacket sleeves are very tight in the forearm. It’s good for bowhunting I guess but makes it difficult to layer under. The Sherpa pilled up pretty quickly but not terrible. Customer service is great...
I'm a big fan of buying from a guy close enough to visit. That's what I did for my first/only custom bow. Super cool to see the shop and learn a little about the process.
Are you sure Hoyt had anything to do with that riser? My understanding was that it was just a rebadged DAS riser with ILF fittings. I know for a while that backland riser was offered with Sky limbs. Sky was started by Earl Hoyt Jr after he sold Hoyt Archery to Easton, but then was later sold to...
Yeah you can always come back and finish it later, but comments (and @Tony Trietch interacting with the comments) will help boost the video in the youtube algorithm even if you just comment quick and dip.
Do you have access to your phone at all? You could get it done in about 15 seconds if you had the video all loaded up on youtube ready to go, or have wife/gf/buddy do it for you if you really just can't. Or let me win big, that works too.
With pulled meat from anything lean (venison, wild pig, whatever), one thing that helps is after you pull it, add some fat to the mix. You can use butter, lard, bacon grease, whatever, but what it does is just lightly coat the meat and take away that dryness you get with leaner pulled meat.
@Beendare I read through the thread and unless I missed it I didn't see anything about padding on the recurves to deaden string slap. Do you have something there already? I've only used the dyneema wraps Steve Baker offers on Mountain Muffler strings, but they made a big difference on my...
I had my dad for inspiration because I grew up watching him hunt but we moved overseas right around the time when he would have started taking me, so I didn't grow up doing it and kind of forgot about it for a long time. When I was in my early 30s I took a job that required a move to a new place...
What? I'm saying it sounds like UNION leadership was a problem where you were. I wasn't in the union where I was, I just was around the union guys in the shop all the time and they were on top of their stuff, which leads me to believe their union leaders on the shop level were NOT sticking up...
One thing to think about if you haven't cut your own before (hard to tell from the original post) is that it will take time for the wood (depends on thickness some but a year is a good rule of thumb) to dry out enough that it's good to smoke with. You may already be well aware, I just didn't see...
That's pretty universal regardless of smoker type, because many things we use to flavor food (including wood smoke) are much more readily absorbed by fat than muscle.
Yeah, I looked a little yesterday (even half-heartedly looked at the MN beaver trapping regs 😆) and it looks like if you got a really big tail you could do a couple grips but mostly just one per.
My understanding is that air tags have a pretty short range, but if you use Find my [apple device], as long as the tag is within range of any iphone that also has Find my... turned on you can see it's location. Tile and some of the others have longer range, but I'm guessing they require you to...
Wouldn't mind seeing the others if you get a minute.
Where'd you get the leather for the grip? I've been looking for some like that. Croc embossed is sort of similar, but I want something more like you have there.
