Depending on what you mean by “central” you shouldn’t have any encounters with hound hunters. Hound hunting doesn’t start until you get farther east and south. For what most people would refer to as central. -

Question for the PRS series shooters
https://www.caldwellshooting.com/rests/bipods/xla-bipod/247142.html#q=Bipod&lang=default&start=1 I’ve had the pivot model in 9-13 on a 12# 22 for 4 years with no issues. I do recommend their Pod Lok handle for the cant adjustment. Little cheaper price of entry for the same design as a Harris.- BLJ
