For what it’s worth, I own the smaller NX8, the smaller MK5 and a ffp Tenmile 3-18. So far (multiple trips over seas/years with the NX8 and MK5), no issues at all. I will say that the tests here on Rokslide give me a bit of concern with the Leupold and prompted my decision to try the Tenmile...
Agree that it doesn’t make sense which is why I’m not endorsing anyone over there until I get my trophy.
If you read through a few reports from guys coming back from Kyrgyzstan this past season, a bunch of them have not gotten CITES permits or their trophies back yet. I heard, which may be a...
I’d like to wait on giving Saku and Bektur my full approval. None of the guys in my group have gotten their trophies back yet. I have sent both guys multiple messages. They always respond promptly and Bektur says the CITES permits have been applied for and we are just waiting for them. I hope...

I have the un waxed version and love it. I beat it up pretty bad in the south Texas brush country. Mine is probably 6-8 years old and still in good shape.
KUIU gila if it has to be camo and you aren’t worried about the price. Academy sports and outdoors stores will usually have Magellan or BCG brand LS hooded shirts in thin synthetic material. i wear these cheap hooded shirts all summer long and they’re as cool as you can expect in 100° + weather.
Here’s a video that will show/tell you everything you need to know. You can get your t-nuts at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I add a little glue/epoxy to the t-nuts as well.
Quest bars cookies and cream flavor have been and still are my favorite. I’d hate to think about how many I’ve eaten over the years but they still taste good to me.
There are plenty of mountain hunts that will scratch the sheep hunting itch that are still in the $8,000-$12,000 range. Don’t be afraid to hunt overseas. There are still relatively reasonably priced hunts to be had and awesome adventures to go on.
Nobody traveled with $40k in cash. The $40k + that my hunting partner is out of was a combination of pre hunt deposits and cash paid upon arrival. For the record, I would never recommend traveling overseas with more than $5-7k cash. I also set up a temporary checking account, deposit $3-5k in it...
Thanks man and no problem.
Like I said originally, my hunt has been paid in full since 2019. I’m just a working guy and outfitters generally understand that so they will let you book a hunt a few years out and just send them cash until it’s paid off. This is what I did.
The other guys on the...
I’m not going to take the time to reply to all of this but if you reread my original post, you’ll find that none of your assumptions are correct.
If Bryan had the money to refund, the trip wouldn’t have gone the way it did and my hunting buddy would’ve gone Marco Polo hunting. Bryan would have...
Bryan never paid the local guy, Saku, for the Marco Polo. The govt tag on a Marco Polo in Kyrgyzstan is about $20k so it’s crazy to think that a local guy could cough up $20k and eat his people’s fees, food, fuel, lodging, etc.
Bryan’s job is to take the hunt fees from us, the hunters, get them...
