    Peak 44 Bastion Tikka Review

10-Round Groups I forgot to take pictures before leaving on this work trip, will update on the 19th when I'm home. Without bedding, rifle produced 3 10-round groups under 1.2" which is the typical cone of this rifle. I am surprised, given how "generous" the fit was during assembly. Recoil...

    Peak 44 Bastion Tikka Review

Peak 44 is a Wyoming company producing carbon fiber rifle stocks. Their Blacktooth stock, featuring a swept grip, has been available for Tikkas. The more modern Bastion stock has not, until now. I handled the rem 700 pattern Bastion when a few Weatherby 307s came into my shop. I was impressed at...

    RokStok

Unequivocally, yes. Others on this site have claimed it fits. I don't believe they've shot extended strings. Even with the adjustment screw cranked, it slips after a few rounds of 6.5CM because there's no actual lug engagement. Yes, I saw the GW bipod on the RS 7 PRC featured on episode 94 of...

Could you please give us a solid lug (one of them) @Salmon River Solutions so we can use a Gunwerks Bipod? -J

I’m loathe to feed this, but look at the latest 2 stocks from McMillan, under the Mountaineer brand. -J

Montana Rifle Co, Shoot2Hunt, and Rokslide Rifle

Another differentiator would be sending the rifles with 10 round proof groups instead of 3 or 5, and guaranteeing something doable like 1.5 MOA with a particular loading of a consistent ammo like federal GMM. Lots of unrealistic and murky accuracy guarantees out there, you’d be setting a much...

Show your Tikka ten round groups

Those were fine (though it’ll spread out with more data). Group wasn’t shaping up terribly well. This 16” Tikka just loves 120 eld-m and 125 deer season XP for some reason. I’ll give it another shot with a larger data set. Was earlier this season, trying to run through 12 types of ammo in a...

    Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44mm SHR-Mil Q&A

This has been covered extensively by other people, but - the scope does not know the torque you’re applying to the cap screws. It only knows the clamp force it’s experiencing. Screw pitch has a big impact on torque to clamp force ratio. -J

KRG Echo - Sporterish version of bravo for tikkas

You’ll need a mag spring to get your CTR action to work with the echo. I can dig up a spare to send you if you need. But you’ll need to be comfortable removing the trigger and torquing it back down within an inch of its life. -J

    Precision gas gun, Form?

I’ll keep it for high round count closer range classes. Need to pick a barrel make to send to D Wilson now. Overwhelmed by choices. -J

    Precision gas gun, Form?

More disappointment from my factory LMT barrel today, on the same day as I shot my lifetime best group on the Tikka 6.5. The AAC TMK has always shot worse than the OTM, but this is just ludicrous. I have never been more vulnerable to a PRI Black Friday sale. -J

Show your Tikka ten round groups

New best group. 10 out of my 16.5" RokStok Tikka in .7". Front and rear bags, since the ROKSTOK SKELETONIZED PIC RAIL IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE GUNWERKS BIPOD. Look how slow that Norma 143 Golden Target is going. It was 100FPS faster 2 weeks ago. I'm wondering whether they use an extremely...
