NY CCW law held to be unconstitutional

Actually, if you read what I said, I'm talking about the ones who still can get an abortion. Hard for me to see how they can end a "life" yet I'm not supposed to be able to carry a gun. Further the 2nd is about as "carved in stone" as you can get. The "right" to an abortion was carved from...

Well, you said she was from Cali

    SITKA Ambient Collection

I watched the Sitka promo video. Looks to me like a "reinvention" of tech used by Buffalo Systems for decades. I own and use many of their pieces and just throw a light camo shirt over it for whatever area I'm in. I'll pass on the Sitka premium, thanks.

NY CCW law held to be unconstitutional

Don't forget they can still obtain an abortion in many states while they are carrying/obtaining their firearm. Never understood how someone can launch on the 2nd and simultaneously support, just as vehemently, the current right to terminate a pregnancy. But, people are crazy.

3/4 mile to 2 miles 15x SLC or spotter?

If you really are "judging", then yeah I'd break out the spotter to look at a deer I found with binos. Love the Kowa 500 series for that purpose, and just fine spotters too. If you are catching them in open areas and it's not at last light (you mentioned going in, so I assume more at first...

NY CCW law held to be unconstitutional

They likely may ignore it, until they too are sued and taken to task. Like ol Governor Wallace in deseg days: you made your "law" SCOTUS, now enforce it.

NY CCW law held to be unconstitutional

What the opinion "means" likely will be argued about for decades. And, yes, libtards will do their best to get around it. I've not read the opinion and may never do so, even though I am an attorney. Just from the quotes I've seen I know it's a: BIG F'ING DEAL (to quote Biden to Obama when...

    Break pellet guns

+1 on Gamo. Mine is much older than above post, but it has always worked great and pretty accurate. I think I paid around $150 for mine, but, again, many years ago.

    Tethrd One Sticks aider

My guess is they don't want to be found to have "promoted" one sticking when someone falls and the stick ends up in the poop chute. I passed on that method of ascent. Too old for that chit.

Lava Ridge Wind Project - Wasting 76,000 acres in Idaho.

You're just trying to confuse things now. Next you'll say that EV won't give me the advertised 400 mile range and that the batteries will lose capacity over time. Why you trying to speak truth and gum up this "green revolution"?

    Fishing in the Florida Everglades

I'd highly recommend hiring one or more guides.

How are people affording these crazy home prices?

The risk, particularly for individuals, is the musical chairs that happens in these situations. Around here, a good analog a few years ago was mini warehouses. It was "the thing" to do and became a supposed investment opportunity. Didn't take long for supply to outstrip demand and then it took...

    Good Gas Mileage Hunting Vehicle

I have a V-6 AWD, but it has a true transfer case with a creeper low range. The ABS system also is set up to give you some "limited slip", though it is by no means a replacement for a diff lock. Still, I've been in some pretty hairy stuff and only stuck the couple times I bottomed out. I can...

Looking to get a 65mm spotter

I'll keep my one good eye out for him.

Looking to get a 65mm spotter

I don't have most of that fancy stuff either. Actually, I do have some fairly nice gear, just not multiples, the "latest and greatest", or "what if" stuff. If you want to have a safe full of guns (or two) or an arsenal of spotters, that is your choice. I just don't have the funds for them and I...

Looking to get a 65mm spotter

Me too on the eyepatch--it still sucked. But, how did you train your bird?

Looking to get a 65mm spotter

Me dos. I much prefer spotting with binos, and, in the areas I hunt, spotters really seem more of a hindrance than a benefit. Another reason I'd never lug a heavy full size in. But, I'm not counting rings at 2+miles and almost certainly never will.

How are people affording these crazy home prices?

Corporations and investment trusts are building entire SFR subdivisions for rentals here now. People with plenty of cash will make money, as they so often do. The rest of us will suffer, as we mostly always do.

Looking to get a 65mm spotter

ARGGH matey, you need to go pirate. Get an eyepatch. I use binos most of the time too. Man if you could get a trained bird with a little pair of binos on your shoulder you'd be golden.

How are people affording these crazy home prices?

You likely won't even need it to get that high to see the direct impact on prices. Even an extra 1% adds so much in interest costs to the "average price" that the vast majority of buyers "should" get priced out pretty soon. Only market response then (really) is to lower prices. But, let's just...
