    Well, I just finished up cutting my youngest daughter's buck up. Pretty happy about that. 3 days ago marks the 15th year since my best friend since we were wee lads committed suicide. That's still a tough one, but time marches on.

    True. But it might be nice to minimize the amount of time your loved ones spend looking for you. 10 years or so ago, a fella disappeared in roughly the same area. They found his remains a few years ago. Lots of time was spent looking for him.

    It's hard to make friends as a couple that align with your values and share the same interests. My wife and I are in the same boat. We had/have a couple that we have been friends with for quite a while. Our kids grew up together, but somewhere along the line our mutual interests moved on.

    I'm not sure when it ends. Mine started at about 19. The youngest was the hardest. She is a hard headed girl, but she got her butt kicked when she moved down to El Paso last year. That humbled her , since then she has been a pleasure to be around.

    I'm headed out tomorrow to hunt muley's with my youngest daughter. She hasn't hunted with me since she was a freshman in HS and I wasn't sure she would ever get back in to it again. For all you Dad's out there, enjoy your hunts with your youngsters! It goes by way too fast.
