This buck went 5 yards. 2” SEVR
This buck went 70 yards (in about 10 seconds). 180 Berger Hybrid.
I can’t say which is “more” lethal. There’s just so many things that cause so many different outcomes. So all I do is just keep killing animals to form an opinion is all.
I’ve also stoned a...
Gotcha! Makes perfect sense. That’s exactly what my 6 PRC is for as well. No recoil and I plan to have my daughter start wreaking havoc with it shortly. It’s a very capable cartridge. And an easy and fun little wildcat.
Okay gotcha. I’ve just never many anyone that’s truly accomplished in anything speak with such authority and try to belittle other peoples experiences and opinions. There’s always a first though 👍🏼
Hahaha genuinely curious how many elk you’ve killed. Being a WY resident and all. Should be piles of them no? You definitely have a strongly formed opinion and I can only assume it’s from extensive hunting and killing. Give us the details.
Definitely! Have you actually trued/tested that BC at 1000 yards? It just seems absurdly high lol. I’m leery. I’ve shot a lot of mono’s and not one has lived up to its stated BC at 1000 yards
Okay gotcha. I put 3000 FPS for both.
Really world data (because I have both of those cartridges). There is no 100gr. 6mm bullet with a .6 G1 by the way.
Put in a 105 hybrid at 3320fps and a 250 A-tip at 2930FPS
Yeah I’m pretty sure he has a magnum 30 cal rifle specifically for shooting long range across canyons at elk.
Like I don’t have a 6mm sitting right here that I would shoot an elk tomorrow with at 600 yards.
It doesn’t mean I have to be oblivious to the difference between a heavy for caliber...
I just put that in, and you are 100% incorrect. Are you just pulling this crap out of thin air? Its a 15” difference at 800 yards at my shooting location
Excellent suggestions. Clymr would be nice if we could then aftermarket anymore!
And yes 8 pounds or heavier and you’ll be in business for a pleasant shooting experience for sure.
What powders are you willing to shoot to achieve those speeds?
109 ELDM goes 3350fps with N570
In a 26” barrel. It goes about 3220 in a 26” barrel with H1000.
That info could help dictate your barrel length
Very true and well said 👊🏼👊🏼.
I’m not arguing, and will never argue that smaller guns are easier to shoot. They are for sure.
I don’t think the difference is as extreme as it is sometimes portrayed for anyone that spends a decent amount of time behind their rifles.
Yes I do. It’s 20 seconds longer. He slide into that tree where the original video end, and then you see his horns bob up one more time.
Shoot me a PM with your cell number and I’ll send it to you if you have an I phone.
I just trimmed it down for YouTube because there was basically nothing...
I definitely agree man. There’s nothing wrong with sharing actual data.
I shared the lungs of the giant pig I shot with a 22 creed also. Excellent damage internally. I was highly impressed.
I’m just saying it doesn’t mean there isn’t a difference like it is sometimes portrayed on here...
That’s not true. The one with the widest deepest wound channel on impact is likely to affect the nervous system most.
That 22 creed definitely hit a much high higher impact velocity in those videos.
You could not have placed that 300 NMI bullet any better. Literally a perfect shot. The...
I absolutely agree, one video of each is totally meaningless. Just shared them so you could see the actual force of each impact. It’s not like there isn’t a difference. Both deer died definitely.
I have lots of videos similar to the 300 NMI video. And I would absolutely share any videos of the...
