As I said above, my experience with Weatherby customer service is that is awful. They do not care about their customers after the sale. Unless you just want to go to war with them, I'd either sell the rifle or fix it myself. Easiest thing would be to have somebody pull the barrel, cut a bit...
Sounds like maybe an issue with machining of the chamber. I am no fan of Remington brass; you might try some Norma/Weatherby brass and see if it is better.
I am also curious as to why you choose 130 grain bullets. That seems really light for caliber. I have a 300 Wby mag myself. I shot 180...

About normal here in Central Virginia. It is either clear with lows in the high 20's and highs in the 40's, or it is warmer and raining. We got a dusting of snow this week, which is more than we got all last year.
I find the term "trespass fee" curious. I have never heard it before. If you have permission, you aren't trespassing, so using it to describe the money you pay for access seems odd. Oh well.
It usually means "Old School Tag." It is a term borrowed from another forum. It means the poster is replying to the tag, so he can monitor subsequent replies.
I found the OP interesting. These rules seem to vary widely by state. I do most of my deer hunting in VA and WV. In Virginia, to hunt deer or bear, the rifle must be .23 or larger. No .223 or .22LR allowed.
WV prohibits hunting deer with a rifle that uses rimfire ammunition of less than .25...
I bought a Scythe Ti this morning. It will join the stable. I have two other direct-thread 30 cal cans: a SilencerCo Harvester 30 from a few years back, and a Gemtech Tracker. I like both. This one will be much lighter and shorter than either, and it will share mounts with the Harvest. That...
Sorry this happened to the OP. A certain amount of unreliability is inherent in muzzle loaders, which is why you get the early season.
I've been shooting two 50 grain Pyrodex pellets over a Winchester 209 primer for 21 years and never had an issue. Have put many deer in the freezer with three...
It is certainly true that rifle weight and fit are huge factors in felt recoil. My Wby Mk V Ultra lightweight in .30-06 has substantially more felt recoil than my Mk V Accumark in 300 Wby. But you have to carry it...
NF makes both FFP and 2FP scopes. I prefer 2Fp for hunting personally. The reason for my statement is that while in my judgment Swaro has better glass, their turrets leave a lot to be desired. If you plan to hold over rather than dial, then get one with capped turrets and you are all set. I...
When I see people online complaining about recoil, I assume they are just new shooters or hunters with limited shooting experience.
I have been shooting since the age of 6 and doing so quite a lot all of my adult life. I would describe myself as a firearms enthusiast who hunts rather than a...
Too many. I certainly don't swap scopes between rifles. Way too much trouble.
I have 3 NF scopes, one Swaro, and a VX5 on my most commonly used hunting rifles. My other rifles have VX3HD's, which have been serviceable.
