I always full length size all my loads. I own a few 3 die sets that came with neck sizing dies, but I have never even set them up. Reliability is way more important to me that marginal case life.
I litigate for a living. If there were more zeroes on the deal, something could be done. You could sue the John Doe defendant then drop a subpoena on FB to find out who he really is, then proceed against him. Obviously not worth it for $300. Be wiser next time.
I deleted by FB account years...
So I purchased and Idaho elk tag in the August 8 returned/leftover tag sale. How long will it take to get? USPS is not all that reliable in my area, and I am anxiously awaiting it. Anybody else received one yet from that sale?
Good zombie thread and timeless topic. I have killed many white tails in my life. I estimate about 50 or so, but I have lost count. I have only three white tail shoulder mounts. The rest of those deer were either antlerless or too small to mount. My motto on deer is "if it's brown, shoot it...
As has been said, dress for comfort and to stay dry and warm. Deer and elk don't care what you are wearing. Most of my hunting gear is camo because that's how it comes, and I think camo is cool. Besides, I need it for duck hunting.
Buy whatever camo pattern you like.
160 grain Nosler Accubonds shoot very well out of both my 7mm Wby and 28 Nosler. They also work very well on game. I mostly hand load them, but if I were going to buy a factory load I would go with the Nosler Trophy Grade factory stuff. It is very good.
As mentioned above though, you need to...
I ordered a custom suppressor cover from Armageddon Gear for my Scythe Ti. Here are some photos. They don't list it as a standard size yet, but I measured and put the size it. It was in my hand less than a week after I ordered it.
If budget allows, Tikka in .308. A bit cheaper, Howa in .308. It is an incredibly versatile cartridge, once fired brass is basically free, ammo is everywhere, and anybody can shoot it.
It is not his complete life story, but River of Doubt by Candace Millard is a great book about TR and his son exploring an uncharted river in the Amazon basin.
The Glock 20 is the absolute gold standard of 10mm pistols. It has been around forever, and it runs like a sewing maching. I have had my Gen 4 since they came out. I have fired a variety of ammo out of it including Underwood and hot hand loads, and it has never malfunctioned. I also have a...
I have a number of cans in different formats. For hunting, you want a direct thread can. The simple option is to have something like the Gemtech Tracker that uses a fixed 5/8-24 mount. That is fine if it works for your rifles. If you have guns with barrel profiles that are less than 5/8" at...
I have to apologize. What I thought on a quick look was an end cap is actually a wrench you attach to the front end of the can if you have trouble getting the mount loose. I never would have figured this out without this video:

I have the original Harvester 30 which has a brake very similar to the Omega, and it does a nice job of reducing recoil and associated muzzle rise. It is not removable, so I can't really do a comparison, but I have been really happy with that can since I got it.
ETA: I have to apologize. What...
