I’ve been hunting with the 115 on my BTX since early October and it’s AMAZING. Had the 95 prior and as most said, the 115 is huge and bulky but if you don’t need to pack it I can’t imagine why one wouldn’t see the benefit over the 95.
Outdoorsmans - I ordered a BTX balance rail mid-summer from them for the 95mm objective. When the 115mm came out I asked if I could exchange the 95mm rail for the 115mm rail. Within 10 minutes they sent me a return shipping label and the entire process took a little over a week. Super Happy with...
You need to try and find either H1000 or N565. I'm getting right at 2900 with the 143 in a 20" barrel with Retumbo and 2950 with a 140 Berger over 59.4 grains of H1000. I can get 2850 with the 156 Berger with N565.
For what's it worth, the N565 also gives me the best ES and SD I've ever had in...
Posting up my Leupold Mark 5HD 3.6-18 for sale. Specs are in the pictures.
Has one small ding on the top turret which I tried to display. Bought this used but like new a couple months back and I’ve since gone a different route.
Comes with Hawkins rings.
Looking to get $1,450 shipped or best...
I’m switching to bigger optics with fluid heads this year and my wife requires a portion of expenditures be raised by selling old gear..
So, I’m looking to part ways with my Outdoorsmans Pan Head. I’ve had it for a couple of years and it’s always worked fantastic. I did accidentally knock it...
Hello all,
I’ve been trying out the new Stone Glacier 2P this summer and I have decided that it’s going to be my new go to tent so I’m looking to free up some funds for other gear. As such, I’m posting my lightly used Hilleberg Soulo for sale. I’ve only used it on one sheep hunt last year. It’s...
I've also got a Rifles Inc Strata that I picked up used last fall for a shade over $2k. It's a 300 RUM weighing 5LB 10OZ and it's stupid accurate if you can hold onto it tight enough.
Like a lot of guys stated here, I had to shoot that rifle a lot to get used to the recoil.
If you're already applying it's a minimal cost at worst. As some others in this thread have stated, it's seemingly impossible to draw but it does happen. I drew a random non-res archery tag (the only one in the unit) with 4 points in 2017 and had a fantastic hunt.
I have and use both frequently and I would have to say that picking between the two has a lot to do with the rifle you plan to mount it on. If weight is a major concern and occasionally dialing means 600 yards max, the Z5 is probably a fine scope. Beyond 600 and the Mark 5 is a simple choice...
I have most pieces in the Altitude line and I find the base layers to run true to size with outer garments made by Arcteryx, Black Diamond and some of the other mountaineering brands. It definately runs larger than Kuiu if you've used any of their stuff. I'm 6' and roughly 195 and I wear large...
I've used mine back east for whitetail hunting several times and it works great. Those bags have the ability to compress a ton so it makes them very adaptable.
I've been using the Skyair ULT for a couple of months and the way they cut and sew the material doesn't make it ideal for use as a flat tarp. I would say your best option would be the Hilleberg Tarp. I hunted with a dude in Alaska that used the Hilleberg and it was incredibly versatile.
Hope...
It was a game changer for me. Like most some have mentioned, I throw powder using a charge master to within .1 of my intended load and then use a dandy trickler to drop the last few kernels.
I have also seen a reduction in my ES with the same loads developed prior to using the 120 versus using...
I used to cramp a lot as well and started using NUUN tablets and it made a huge difference. I haven’t had issues since implementing them into my program.
Just handled one of these at Cabelas. They're selling for $4199. Nice gun but seems overpriced unless you're in dire need of a "semi" custom because your smith or supplier can't make the deadline.
