Funny...my experience is the opposite in that Barnes ttsx have performed extremely well while I’ve had subpar experience with accubonds with two different calibers. My confidence is with Barnes
Fulcrum supposed to be an “update” of emr2, but again they took away the two stuff pouches on back of bag and some other features but added more straps. A good example, in my opinion, of trying to improve something but actually making it worse off.
I’ll probably end up getting a custom bag...
Makes sense to me as an OPTION for back country expeditions and hunting regardless of weapon of choice. The back of the bag configuration on emr2 is money yet haven’t seen that configuration since with their offerings. It’s the main reason why is still use my emr2 even though i don't care for...
Oh why oh why does Kifaru not incorporate the two stuff pouches and center zip of the emr2 on their new pack designs. News flash, not all hunters are bowhunters that need to strap a bow on the back of pack!
I’ve got a couple McWhoters. Built to exactly my spec and fit/finish is outstanding. And they shoot unbelievable well.....both in the 0.3 MOA range. Built around bullet of my choice. Highly recommend.
I used to use their insoles but found they didn’t provide enough support. Switched to green super feet insoles and saw a vast improvement. I think the key is to find what works best for your feet and ankles and unfortunately it can be an iterative process that can take time and money.
I have both. I thought I needed the NL’s as they were the latest and greatest. Honestly I can’t tell much difference between the two. On paper, the NL’s are optically superior but hell if my eyes can differentiate between the 2.
Wait, is this true? Can it be so? I feel like I’ve just gone 10 rounds with Mike
Tyson! We made it 🥂🍾!!! We survived! I wonder what rings he will choose??? Lol!
I am still a fan of most of the features for the EMR2 bag. My ideal kifaru bag for 10-12 day hunting would be the following:
Crater sized bag made from x-pac material. Keep side scope pocket. Get rid of side zip on that bag. .
Full length center zip with two stuff pouches on either side...
Maybe a moderator will lock this thread as it’s adding little value with content that belongs on Archery Talk.
To the OP, best of luck with your Swarovski optics and hope you find the service you are looking for that meets your expectations
I second this. I also use western mountaineering flash pants. The lack of zippers is less of concern as i use them mostly in camp and as extra sleeping layer if needed.
I admit, the GDF option looks great as well.
I also have the synthetic RAB zip on insulated pants that work great for...
I’ve had some gnarly incidents after eating Mountain House Chili Mac freeze dried. My sleeping bag will never be the same. Just say No to Chili Mac and beware or at least be upwind of those in camp that bring it along.
