I have been fortunate to have been able to do a lot of sheep and goat hunting in the prime years of my life where I could physically enjoy the experiences. I work so I can hunt sheep and have other life experiences that I am passionate about. I made a decision to invest money in experiences...
Yep I didn’t get my desert sheep in Mexico nearly a decade ago. Was not from lack of trying or effort. We hunted hard and even extended the hunt for a few days longer but didn’t see a legal sheep. Big names have hunted the area just the previous years and the area had 100% success rate up...
Share the same sentiments but if one can get past that, then it’s good to experience at least once. its great if you are looking to book a hunt and have a short list of outfitters you want to vet or catch up with the ones I have hunted with in the past. I don’t go to the events as not my scene...
it didn‘t take much effort at all. And it’s even less effort to go to any mountaineering or Sitka or Kuiu website and click on their products and compare weights. Certainly less effort then writing an email and waiting for a reply.
I dunno, the lack of weights on website is a turn off for me. I dont want to call customer service to get this info. It’s an inconvenience.
I like American made concept, but I am worried about lack of performance given this constraint. I’m after the best performing product regardless where...
I’ve got the first generation Kuiu Chugach hardshell set (early 2012). It’s in good shape and has treated me well. Just wondering if it’s worth upgrading to the current version or keep on rolling with it?
Yeah, but I see a few posts on here with people worried about their camouflage patterns matching and manscaping routines. Gotta look cool for the instagram selfies and be insta-famous....obviously!
I just wish they made a made a lightweight backcountry cologne to cover up the aroma from...
Interesting results! Shows how everyone’s eyes are different I suppose. I’ve never been impressed by nightforce optically, while my S&B scopes continually impress me In that aspect. According to this comparison, S&B are rubbish.
just another example to take what you read in the internet with...
Actually it’s $75k for 2023, a $5k increase from 2022 and they are sold out at this price. Directly from their website.
thats 100% increase in 8 years at the going price at that time.
I have a jetstream and I think I’ve used once. i don’t see a need for a softshell personally. A puffy and rain shell will be warmer and more effective most of the time
Prices of sheep hunts are escalating faster than what many can save on an annual basis. Prices in NWT have increased >$10k alone in the last 10 years. People are willing to pay it and outfitters are booked out several years in advance at these prices.
Look for cancelation hunts as some deals...
