I’ve had good luck with the cabelas space rain stuff a rainy day here or there. I spray painted the Kuiu and Sitka logos onto it just to make sure I had my bases covered.
Hey all
Looking for a decent quality used tripod and pan head for around $100-$150. Please let me know if anyone has anything they’d be interested in parting with.
Ugh feel for you, if I was close and had em I’d help. I think a lot of people are going to be in the same boat over the next 60-90 days. I’ve been developing loads for an elk hunt with H1000 and R19 and I’m down to my last lbs, at some point if I can’t find more I’ll just have to stop shooting...
nobody can predict the future. Owning a home is a great way to build an asset. Rates are lower than ever. No better time than now. Don’t buy more than you can comfortably afford. It’s a great feeling having an easily affordable mortgage and lots of money for the future and toys for today.
I’d imagine these are just bullets to be made into handloads, not loaded rounds. They’ll fit in any 7mm/.284 round, 7mm-08, 7mm RM etc...that weight bullet is right in the sweet spot for an 08.
Wow that seems like a big spread, I just bought a box of 50, 338 win mag brass from ADG. Weighed all, ES was less than 3, and once I called out just a few outliers I’ll foul with, ES was within 2 grains.
I use a 40 year old US made Ohaus 505, it’s honestly kind of an enjoyable part of reloading to me. Plus it was the scale my grandfather used. I had it accurized and refurbed.
to me I don’t get the idea of reloading for the bench versus hunting. I don’t benchrest shoot, but why wouldn’t I want my ammo to be as accurate as possible, even if “I’m only hunting with it?” I go for the tightest groups I can get.
that’s interesting living necks before seating bullet isn’t done in benchrest. I use the imperial dry lube as well, but may do a round without and see how it affects accuracy.
I put several thousand into Disney, Boeing, and Alaska Airlines beginning of the year. It’s been the perfect trifecta of crap for those three since Covid hit. Not sure I trust myself to make the right picks.
Could be fun, but I’m sure WDFW will find a way to F it up. Count me out, I’m doing as much as I can to recreate and spend my hunting dollars and time outside WA.
Only two times in life I was absolutely blindsided by emotion that I really didn’t see hitting me the way it did. Putting my lab down, and watching my 2nd and 3rd (twins) being born. I’ve had hard times in life and shed many tears, but those two literally took my feet out from under me.
Out here in WA state, the land of no fishing, hunting or outdoor recreating of any kind. Planned my first out of state hunt in ID this fall with family, hope we are in a better place by then.
