Congrats on the hunt. I always clean mine in the bath tub or a storage tote. Lots of sport washes out there that won’t damage fabric, hide UV, no smell, and protect or enhance DWR. Just a good soak will get out most of it and a soft brush for the hard stuff. A repeat with new water just good...
For those that have them, has CS experience been good?

My answer is, “never“.
There’s no way you can consistently kill elk if you have a quitters attitude. Confidence is king, too. Good things happen when you have confidence. Confidence is what allows you to drop in after a bull when you would rather second-guess yourself or wait...
On a 5-pin slider, I have 20/30/40/50/60. 60 being the slider pin. I could go 30/40/50/60/70 but I could end up with close frontal shots as a solo hunter and need to hit a softball size target from 20 yards in. I'lll need to see if my 30 yard pin would still hit a softball size target from 20...

I'm curious and want to try it.
I dry aged mine this year for 15 days in a cooler. It made a lot of difference on a 10yr. old bull (not even the backstraps were initially tender), but I have to...
100 gr. Trocar. Hand sharpened each year. I’ve taken 3 elk now with same broadhead and arrow. Almost a full pass thru this year. Went 40 yds. Once you have a broadhead with good integrity and structure, and most are, you need them SHARP - and most aren’t. At least not in my definition.
