Yep, that class is a remodeling class technically but I would rather do smaller projects that take at most 1 day and still be able to make good money while being flexible.
My guess is that they measured the K3 and K4 the same way for total volume. If you could barely get 9 days in a 6400 you probably won't get it all in a 5000. Really comes down to how you pack and the gear you will be taking.
You all have been extremely helpful, I am going to tour the local trade school that offers just about every trade and will either be doing carpentry or something like a handyman study. I know both of these I can not only make money on but will enjoy even if I don't use them to make money.
Going...
I know Steve or Mark said they would have the carbon inserts at the booths for events. Maybe they will post pictures it include them in a video before the K4 release for all of us not going to those events.
Yeah, I was looking more and more into handyman stuff and is probably the route I am going to go. Will also give me the skill set to make furniture for myself, my family, or if I am bored to make something to sell since I like building stuff. I know a handyman who I can also ask a bunch of...
Not really sadly, maybe running cables in new housing but that is about it. Job doesn't provide a good skill set to do anything on the weekends which is why I will probably learn a trade at a local trade school that just opened up.
Yeah the side hustle was something I would potentially take that skillset and make a business out of. Would take all the money from my side hustle and reinvest into tools or into something with passive income was my thought process.
I was thinking more of the pop in for at most a day and switch out lights, put in a new toilet, add a door, redo a door. Not anything too big, the small stuff that people are too afraid to do or would rather just pay someone to do.
Linemen make good money but definitely not something I would ever want to do. There is a program around me at a school that teaches remodeling, so a bit of everything that I am probably going to go into this summer.
Don't really enjoy my current job as much as I thought I would. Pay isn't bad, benefits are good, but not something I could see myself at for 20 years. Kinda just sticking it out to save up money.
Thanks for all the replies soo far. My real goal is to learn a new skill that will be helpful in my life in general and something I can use to make money on the side when I'm not at my main job or backpacking/hunting.
I've always liked refinishing furniture and building stuff so my next step is...
On the Kentucky side across from Cincinnati Ohio. There is a trade school I have thought about going to just to learn a trade. I don't really have any hobbies outside of backpacking/hunting and would like to make the extra money to go out West every year with a tag or two.
