    Thanks for the input. My husband went out and shot a cow and it has it as well. So I think we will have to go with your suggestion and freeze well and cook to temp! Can’t keep wasting meat. Also makes me think I’ve probably consumed it before from some rare steaks.

    My husband has gloves like these and I always steal them especially when we are going to be sitting for a long time. And he has some trigger finger mitten inserts. Keeps me warm every time. I also add heat warmers in there on especially cold days...

    Yes I contacted the local game warden. Both times we have agreed it’s not worth it to eat the meat. We would constantly be repulsed knowing we might be eating parasites and I just don’t like well done meat 😂

    Why cardio ain't enough for the backcountry

    Great read. My hiking this year was 100 times better since I made lifting 70% of my workout. The full blown cardio just wasn’t doing it for me.
