I am in the same boat and was looking into this school because of The GI bill. Not that I think I could ever guide but I think it would be a blast to learn and a good way to spend the GI Bill
I use the Tsurugi and zubat for work and the pocket boy for camping and hunting. All are amazing saws, the price for replacement blades suck but that’s only really once a year so it’s worth it. For most pruning I’ll only use my handsaw and not even take up a chain saw.

I use this Ultralight Signal Panel / VS17 Panel, really light and folds up small enough to fit into a bino harness. In NV it isn’t mandatory but we used it while we were packing out an elk.
