A stihl ms250 is a great do it all saw. Not expensive and I couldn’t count the hours I’ve had behind them. One thing a lot of guys don’t think about is if you think you’ll end up doing some more technical cutting on some large downed trees keep an extra bar and chain just in case you get it...
I’m training for my first elk hunt this year. I’m between Conroe and Cleveland area. I have a pistol and rifle (200 yards) range at my house with PRS barricades and stuff to practice with as well. I have a couple buddies training as well all former GWOT marine infantry.
My BF has been elk hunting the past two years now and has been using your kit just like it is in the pictures and is very pleased with it. I’m currently torn between yall and the FHF right now for my first upcoming season this year.
This is how I simplified my process actually lol. I hate reloading but I shoot quite a bit year round and only shoot my own hand loads so I’ve never really been prone to creating work for myself.
I’ve heard this but never had anybody able to articulate why this is the case. I’m starting to turn some of my focus from target shooting to hunting and am probably going to work on solids so I guess I’ll find out first hand myself this year
Been a lurker for a while. Long time target shooter but I’m looking to turn more to hunting again. Going on my first elk hunt this year and looking to make it an annual thing form now on.
