Any winner as far as reliability between this and Tenmile 3-18x44?
I bought both with the intent of picking a winner and sending the other back, but I’m finding the choice more difficult to make than expected.
I’ve been following and reading this thread for about a month now. I can’t remember at this point. I just occasionally post something to break the monotony of reading the countless useless posts.
Are these recoil characteristics maximized in prone or does it perform generally the same from other positions? Seems like most testing and shooting shown so far has favored prone as the primary position
Been comparing my RS1.2 to my Tenmile 3-18x44. They’re both new, never mounted scopes. Here are the bullet points for my two samples. Your scopes and opinions may vary.
Optical Quality - TM’s a noticeable step up, but the Maven’s still quite good.
Reticle - Maven is a better design and more...
From what I can tell it doesn’t need it. Could probably shave a couple ounces and dollars if they got rid of it. That super tiny dot isn’t really all that useful. Maybe light the tips of the heavier posts, 4 little triangles pointing at the center dot. Also a fan of green illumination. Now I’m...
Where did you find pics of the moa reticle lit up? I just got my Mil RS1.2 and wish that more lit up than the dot. My dot is just faintly visible at 2.5 mag.
How’s the illumination on these? Any bleed through on the rest of the reticle when turning it up? Does it get the red halo affect around outer edges when turned up higher?
Seems like we’re dreadfully close to someone asking for the bag to be built into the next Rokstok. No wait, can’t happen cause that would only be one piece of gear. Must look like I’m ready to survive for a month in the wilderness every time I set foot in the woods.
As long as it’s $1 bills you’d also be ready for the after hunt party. Just when I think a rear bag is just a rear bag someone comes along and totally reinvents the rear bag. It’s now a Gun rest, pillow, seat, and make it rain bag.
I’m for napping pillow being of equal importance to shooting rest and believe that from her on out all bags should be designed for use as front, rear, and back of head. If it’s gonna cost me a $100 it better be comfy.
I’ve used it on the bench as a rear bag quite a bit. I don't have anything to compare it to so my thoughts on it are exclusive to my limited use case. I don't really shoot that far in hunting situations so I’ve never had the need.
Who’s toting a rear bag around anyway? I thought that was mainly PRS and bench shooting stuff? Is this a thing? Is there Rokbag that I also need to buy?
