What did you do in the reloading room today?

Loaded 20rd of 6.5 PRC - 59.5g n565 - 140 TGK - Peterson brass - CCI 200 Played with my new Redding 30-06 dies. Picked up a Premium 2 die set and got them cleaned up, lubed up and adjusted them to they are where I want them for resizing and seating bullets.

    N568 or N656 for 6.5 PRC

It's the gramin app and you can pair the chronograph with your phone and that's how it records the data and you can look at each shot string separately.

6.5 PRC Load with 147 ELDM

Hadn't tried 4831SC with the 147 ELD-M yet but found in my rifle, the hornady 140 bthp shot great with 54.5g. ES was like 4-6fps, velocity was 2860 or so and accuracy was sub MOA for 5 shot groups. It wasn't a speed demon but those loads were made to punch holes in paper for fun so max speed...

    6mm 95gr Hornady SST Interlocks

Mom killed a half dozen whitetail with that bullet when it was offered in the factory Hornady Custom load in her model 7. Never lost a deer. Blood trails weren't half bad. Accuracy was 1-1.25" but we've since replaced the stock trigger with a Timney and the rifle shoots way better so I have...

    Labradar and Gamin owners

I haven't owned both but have experience with both. I have the garmin and my buddy had the lab radar and I have used his lab radar. Garmin hands down blows it away. He sold his and has the Garmin now. The lab radar struggled with us shooting his 6.5 CM Sig Cross suppressed. The Garmin...

    what brand LR primer

CCI 200 is what I use a majority of the time. I've got close to 2000 so I should be good for a while. I do have a couple hundred Reming 9-1/2 for emergency use if I get low on CCI's.

    Hornady Monoflex ML 250

I've been shooting the Barnes 250 TEZ in my CVA with 110g of BH209 but am getting tired of ordering them since they are really hard to find locally. Locally a shop has the Monoflex ML from Hornady. Its 250 grains and is a mono just like the Barnes. I have shot a couple that a buddy gave to...

    30-06 Accuracy Loads???

For giggles I tried n555 and found acceptable accuracy, ES, and SD. Velocity is almost exactly 100fps slower than the same grain weight on h4350. I might give it a go in January to see if i can get something worked up but for now, h4350 and 165 BT is gonna be winner for my old 700

    N565 6.5 prc

Was able to validate the 140 TGK load and 59g load. I am not getting any concerning pressure signs. No heavy bolt lift or ejector marks. Primers aren't super flat. 59g n565 140 Sierra TGK Peterson Brass CCI 200 2.34 BTO (2.94 OAL)- .035 off the lands As others have said, this is for my...

    N565 6.5 prc

Finally got back out to the range. Found 59g of n565 and 140 TGK is a slick setup in my Seekins. Used CCI 200 primers and BTO length of 2.340” (COAL is 2.940”) I played with StaBall HD and still get crap results compared to n565. Accuracy isn’t great, SD and ES are no good, and velocity...

What is your preferred Brass Brand

I’ve mainly used Peterson and haven’t found a reason to change. Peterson offers 270 win brass and I wanted better brass for my 270 and was tired of Hornady and Nosler being toast after a couple firings. Peterson held up great and produced better velocity/SD/ES/and accuracy over any other 270...

    N565 6.5 prc

I use the unknown munition funnel and it flows fine. I've only had the funnel clog a couple times when i dump the whole charge in one shot. but 1 tap on the funnel and it goes right into the case.

    N565 6.5 prc

My seekins shoots 4831SC very very well. Groups are tight, ES and SD are good. Only down side is MV isnt where I want it to be. I loaded Hornady 140 BTHP and with 54.5g Its mid 2800fps but groups are under 1/2". I think 4831SC does better on lighter bullets but it just goes to show how...

    N565 6.5 prc

I've been very pleased with n565 and my seekins 6.5prc. With the 143 ELD-X I am well over the speeds my buddies are getting in their seekins 6.5's with other powders and my SD numbers are usually below 10fps (several have been below 2fps) so its hard to complain. Added bonus is that I can get...

    Muzzle Brakes?

I just added a 2 port TI Salmon River brake to my Seekins PH2 and its done a great job helping keep the gun on target. I went 2 port to keep length down for hunting. A 4 port might be better but the 2 port does a great job for my intended purpose.
