Take your sons rifle and lift the bolt handle, start tipping the rifle backwards and see what angle it takes to make that bolt move.
No hate but every time I see someone say they love there savage I wonder if they have ever ran a action on any other rifle. Those bolts bind up so bad and I just can't understand it.
I took my garmin to the archery shop one day and set it up under the targets, we were all shocked at the difference fletching makes. The shop owner started stocking them right after this.
Those look at little thin around the scope for me but I like the concept. I've had rings fail on me once and it cost me a caribou of a lifetime....buy nice rings
Great post! If every shot was broad side a .223 would work perfectly 100% of the time.
I'm not sure how any human can argue any point you made in this post.
Is it just me or are the prices in the classifieds high?? Used barrels for $100 less than new. Factory actions and barrels in a $600 stock for close to $2000 etc etc.
Covid is over folks! We can buy the things you have off the shelf again. Rant over
My issue was bolt lift. Imo a high priced bolt action rifle should have a butter smooth action first and foremost. I think they are great guns but I'm not looking to be in the Q club.
