And here I am somehow getting good results out of my bolt action with a 9 twist running the 75s long and fast. 2.5coal at 2850 in the cold weather and it's still running nicely right around 1moa 10 shot at 100. Granted it all goes to hell under 20° but above that we're golden

Man I'm trying to listen to the JVB fudd, the guy is delusional and doesn't understand what he's talking about. And what's worse is he straight up preaches taking unethical shots and says that should be what you plan to do. I can't understand how anyone views him as an expert... I'm no expert...

I hope people like you never change... It makes me smile to think that people look down on different ways of doing things as inferior simply because it isn't their way. The mental gymnastics are truly a beautiful sight to behold. I always enjoy finding gold medal worthy mental gymnastics or...

    New Gen 2 SWFA 3-15x42 & 10x Review

Me, I'm of of those idiots that does something in a way that needs more than 5 in one turn. I shoot a 223 in PRS and shoot matches at 950 and in but have shot one out to 1267 yards. 615 is 5 mil with my current load combo but I might switch loads to a combo that gets me to 720 at 5 mil. But...

    New Gen 2 SWFA 3-15x42 & 10x Review

Following for updates as Im tempted to buy one of these for a new 308ar. Mostly comp use so thinking 12 or 16 but the 10 isn't off the table due to the 40 mil of elevation in it

I've been using the 73s for prs thinking the 75s wouldn't work due the 9 twist barrel but after a few tries they seem to do okay. 1moa at 200 going 2850 means I have my pick now of those 2 and the tmk. Still haven't tested the 77 or 69tmk for accuracy yet

$0 per box, that's the coolest part! (we must ignore the cost of prs and shooting a match as that's a hobby and it's just for burning all my cash) I got a cert off a prize table for 5 boxes and snagged these as the result. Took a little while to get but worth it. Gas gun slings em at 2950 and I...

Superlite, being 223 recoil only matters for spotting shots. Get a can on the end with a Superlite and then have the best of both worlds

My understanding, while very limited, is that the vmax is a softer bullet. Meaning the copper and the lead should both be a bit softer than the components in the eld. Again, very limited understanding, but the vmax is designed to upset faster and not penetrate as deep as other bullets to try and...

I wonder if there are any other threads in this site with 420 pages.... Can't wait to try out 77, 75, and 73gr on critters! Season can't get here fast enough

I love that round out of the blackout. Damage is amazing on organs but meat damage is almost none. I have a hard time switching from that around here cuz I have yet to shoot a deer past 100 yards

Why no 5-round Grendel/ARC AICS mags? (Long .223 either)

I do wonder how it's possible that the accurate mags are only 2.325 when the mdt poly mags run out past 2.5 in a standard aics foot print. I hope we get someone with one to see this and say if that 2.3 is correct or an undersell

Man the new episode of the hornady podcast is trash. They have some good info in there such as how their bullets work - VELOCITY and they give numbers for eldx, cx, and one other one - and not energy. Way too much fudd lore with magnum or bust. If it kills a deer it'll kill and elk. There is no...

So, you went smaller caliber, but not down to .223…

12ga with 1oz slugs to 20ga with 3/4oz slugs. Then we went back up to 30-06 shooting 165-180s and then down go 300blk with 110s. Now it'll be the 223 with 73eldms. Might still use the 300 for close range with solids for less meat damage when I'm hunting at home.

Does the 223/6mm for everything change when hunt cost $$$

Whoa whoa whoa man. I'm gonna have to stop you right there incase no one else has.... It was Flavor Aid and not kool-aid. Let's keep to the facts when talking about killing /s (/s means sarcasm incase anyone doesn't know, it's a bad joke some won't find funny)

This makes me think that with them loaded long in an mdt poly mag and a 6.5 or 7 kreig at 26" I might be able to get 2750 with a standard.... My god the temptation...
