I have multiple CZ SxS’s and love them. They are the best guns at that price point. The OU’s are no different from everyone I talked to that has them. I wouldn’t hesitate to get one if that’s the format I wanted.
I was thinking stingers as I was reading your post. There was some high foc stuff done with low draw weights where they were killing pigs and getting pass throughs.
I think the neck turning has more to do with which reamer you use and how tight the neck is. There are different reamers for a “no turn” neck. I think my reamer is .270 or bigger, I can’t remember off the top of my head.
I think everything is exaggerated on the lighter guns. It just makes it more important to do everything exactly the same. Any difference in technique shows up worse the lighter the rifle is. I’ve been working with a 6.5# .223 and I can even tell with that rifle anytime I mess up, it’s just less...
I have downloaded 223 and used some 30 or 35 grain hornet bullets to duplicate 22lr loads. They weren’t monos but there’s no reason you couldn’t make it work. I kept a dope card and just dialed the difference when switching back and forth.
