Who has ditched the trusted Nalgene bottle?

Very likely it’s the same thing, various vendors on aliexpress sell the same bottle under various brand names, boundless voyage being one of them.

    Back surgery experience

I've had issue with my lower lumbar discs (bulged/herniated) over the past 6-8 years. Pretty chronic pain, nothing helps. Went to a back pain doctor here in Canada who uses localized botox injections to relax the muscles around the discs and this is supposed to alleviate pain. I am planning on...

    Lightweight Backpacking Tent Recommendations

Ditto on the Durston. They just came out with a solid version with a solid interior (minimal mesh) for 3-season use. I use my hiking poles to set it up, packs up real small. Not the ultimate lightest but overall best quality/durability to weight ratio in my books. I got some heavier duty...

Who has ditched the trusted Nalgene bottle?

I'm a huge stainless guy too. There are some cool lightweight titanium bottle options out there that I've been eyeing up, but they are $$$$.. (ie Snow Peak Aurora) https://www.fieldmag.com/articles/best-ultralight-titanium-insulated-water-bottles

    Durston X-Mid Tents

I got a similar bill a couple of years ago when I bought my 2P Xmid and had it mailed to Canada. I just picked up the new XMid 2 Solid from a cross border pickup spot two weeks ago - got lucky when the border guard let me pass without paying tax or duty :)

Anybody using the Western Mountaineering Lynx GWS? Feedback?

I don’t own the GWS, but I believe it’s a thicker fabric and does not compress as small as the MF. If you look at the WM website they show which size stuff sack comes with each sleeping bag - the GWS bags come with a larger stuff sack than their MF counterparts.

Anybody using the Western Mountaineering Lynx GWS? Feedback?

I have a couple WM bags, MF and Extremelite. They pack nicely. I bring my Goretex bivvy bag when required - that gives me the best of both worlds (breathability on warmer/dry nights and wind/waterproofness of gore when required). I would err on the side of warmth and pick the warmer bag -...

    SWD backpacks for heavy loads

I’m looking at purchasing a SWD backpack (either the Wendigo or Big Wild). Are there any long term users here with insight on durability of these packs and how they handle heavier weights, ie 40-60lbs?
