    Ya, it’s not that I couldn’t use it. I think I’d be completely content with a .300 blackout. Just not sure it’s the most practical for hunting in general. More of a “it could do the job.”

    I read that as well. That would be my route but great looking at the 6.8 SPC as well. Any insight into how that would fit into the mix vs the ARC? I haven’t looked at the ARC yet, but is for sure on the list.

    Makes sense. Now that I’m down the rabbit hole, I’m considering the 6.8 because of barrel length. Cant imagine it’s a cheap cartridge, but I don’t shoot a ton (although I’d like to).

    Nice, I was leaning Aero upper. Not sure if you considered it, but given the 12.5” barrel, any thought to going 6.8 instead?

    For whitetail, I just feel a little better with the 6.5 vs 5.56. I know it can be done, just more of a preference if practical. I have a 6” can, so should function closer to a 18” barrel unless I do just go 16” and not mess with the tax stamp or pistol.

    Ya, I like the idea of a 300 BO but probably not best for my application. Part of my hesitation was wondering if the shorter barrel made a big difference for optimization.

    I actually did the same, but median on the rings. Idk how much I’ll dial, but like the option. Adjustable cheek so shouldn i did just about the same. Went with medium rings but with the adjustable cheek i should be fine.

    I recently purchased a Bergara B-14 HMR wilderness and grabbed a NF SHV 4-14x56 for it. I’ve searched for days and can’t decide on a mount for it. Primary use will be hunting, but might dabble in a little LR. Any recommendation on Rails/Rings or mounts? Focus is hunting primarily.

    I’ve heard similar as well. TBAC is one, but any other specific 6.5 cans that do well? I had heard that. Part of the reason why no matter what I get with the 24”, it’ll be titanium. A lot of benefits, but weight being #1 there.
