    KRG Bravo Opinions

Hey guys, I’ve bitten the bullet and picked myself up a Bravo for my 6.5. A Rokstock would be been good, but at this stage it seems a bit difficult to get one down here to New Zealand. Anyway, I want to run metal mags in it- what’s the best choice in brands? Or are they all much of the same...

6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

Red stag shot up high above the bushline last month during our rut here in NZ. 6.5cm 20” barrel, Hornady 140gr ELD-M factory ammo. 2600fps hitting at 2150fps (372yds) Wind blew the bullet just forward of the shoulder and hit the spine, saw him go straight down ass first. I struggled to work out...

Required precision video and using WEZ

Thanks @Formidilosus for your education here. I think this is one of the most overlooked parts of the equation. It’s easy to be drawn to heavy slick bullets at high velocity as their performance is easy to categorise. Human performance on the other hand is difficult to put into a data table...

Required precision video and using WEZ

Thanks to the contributors of this thread! I know from previous reading that time spent at the reloading bench fussing over advanced reloading operations was a waster of time, but this thread provides the ‘why’. Buy more ammo, and get out in the wind more (which I have in abundance here…) The...

    KRG Bravo Opinions

Awesome, thanks. I’ve got a 2.5-10 NXS on my 6.5 cm and was thinking of replacing it, but based on that it’s going to work just fine!

Sorry to drag this up from 2 years ago @PNWGATOR , but how far would you take the 3-9 out to on animals? On deer sized game?

    223 vs 22CM

Yeah .224 centrefires are legal over here, so no drama there. Well I guess the resounding message is I need to have two….. The trouble is, I need to put a new scope on the 6.5 and it’s getting hard to justify the cost of an appropriate scope for it. We have one Nightforce dealer here, and they...

    223 vs 22CM

Interested in your reasoning for 6.5 over 22 cm and .223. My 6.5 tikka loves the 140gr Hornady match ammo, so much that I haven’t bothered to load for it. But, by all accounts the .22 cm is a demon- lower drift, lower recoil and takes 1800 fps beyond 800yds!

    223 vs 22CM

Dragging this thread back up, as I’m going through a bit of a dilemma….. I want to consolidate down to one medium game rifle (yeah sounds ridiculous I know). I have 2 T3x one in 223 and another in 6.5cm. Where I am here in New Zealand we can hunt Wapiti, Red stag (between elk and mule deer in...

    Joining from the Southern Hemisphere

Hey guys, Been reading the slide for quite some time, especially the .223 for deer bear moose thread. I’ve got a New Zealand version of a RSS - Tikka 1-8 .223, Sportsmatch rings, Waters long mag and 2.5-10 NXS. (Can’t get SWFA here). Also got the same in 6.5cm…. Looking forward to contributing...
