My recent knife builds for Xmas

To those interested in getting into knife making and asking about startup prices, I built a list of budget startup tools that I can supply when I am able to send PM's. Its a list with links of the bare minimum tools to get started and make knives entirely at home without sending anything off...

Single person tent vs 8 man

We have overlanding trailers/rigs for trailhead and base camp situations and an 8 man tipi for spike camps. I like an extra single man as a garage for overflow stuff, particularly anything that smells.

Whats your Favorite early seaon elk gear

Boots and socks are the most important piece of gear you can put on your body. I wear Danners and darn toughs, but find the setup that works for you and break them in. Boot break in looks different to a everybody, if you want tips on what I do just ask. $25+ a pair for socks seems steep, but I...

    Sidearm or Not?

I carry a larger caliber pistol when backpacking and Elk hunting, I have had a few occasions when I was glad I had it. I don't conceal when doing so because most of my pack options have a waist strap that impedes appendix carry.
