They were all clear when I put in my draws earlier in the month. You can see multiple codes in one area, one is private only and the other is the public tag. In checkout, this becomes clear as there will be a note telling you that you selected private land only right below the hunt code selected.
Exactly. Draw odds are what they are. If you want to draw, you have to enter. If you can afford a landowner tag, try the draw first. If unsuccessful, grab that landowner tag at that time.
Hunts with outfitters these days range from 5k-sky’s the limit. That’s usually just for guides, food, and some lodging. I’d either save that and add more for next year or go on a different species hunt, like antelope.
NM would be a good place to start. Find an outfitter you'd like to hunt with. They'll provide you with their 4-digit outfitter code once you sign an agreement with them. Then they should guide you to what draws for each species you want to hunt. Do up to 3 draw options for NM, do not do a...
NM mountain Licenses are OTC. You are however, require to obtain a cougar ID. Take the test online and pass it and you’ll get an ID. Then snag an outfitter with hounds.
Lots of great suggestions and ideas. Thanks, everyone for the contributions. I'm now leaning toward the two-tone for this. Might even do the action/base in sniper, the bolt in titanium, and the bottom meal in sniper.
Getting to the point of selecting cerakote colors for this build. It's a Defiance Anti long action, proof carbon prefit 300 PRC, Manners LRH in Elite Forged Midnight (not tac, but molded in strip variation). Barrel end and tennon will not be coated. Only doing the action body, bolt, bottom...
Thank you. I was able to purchase an LRH today and didn't know the answer beforehand. Thankfully, Jim @ Manners replied in a matter of minutes. Actions sit above the top of the LRH and no port cut in the stock. Any action with the correct length and mcs mini chassis will fit.
Does anyone know if a MCS-LRH with a mini chassis and long action inlet will also fit defiance anti in long action? I think the answer is yes, but would like to confirm.
Hey y’all! Joined a few days back, just found the intro thread here. Hope everyone has enjoyed and is still enjoying a nice weekend. Starting a new build soon.
I realize this thread is quite a bit old. I was wondering how things went with getting Browning to fix this issue. I have a brand new 300 PRC Speed SR with the same issue.
