.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Thanks for doing the comparison. I’ve had great success with the TMK, but will have to try the eld-m if there is a chance for better blood trails.

I’ll be getting one when they are released. I’ve been on the fence between a polonium (shorter) and wolf hunter (lighter). A lightweight polonium makes the decision easy.

    Would you buy this scope?

I would buy one to try if the price is around $1,000 and would buy a few more if I liked the first one.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

Killed my third whitetail with the 77gr TMK yesterday morning. Around 85 yards using a 12.5” barrel. First time I have had a TMK exit. The exit was small. She dropped about 10 yards from where I shot her. Forgot to take pictures, but it looked very similar to Moose83’s above.

    north carolina deer hunt

The copperheads, rattle snakes, and cottonmouths mentioned above are all in NE NC. Be on the lookout for them, but don’t let them keep you out of the woods.

    Trijicon Credo 3-9x40mm Q&A

In case someone is looking for one of these, Lanbo’s Armory has a few of the mil square reticles in stock for $416. Total with shipping was $426 for me. Red: https://lanbosarmory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=55630 Green...

Thanks for sharing your experience. All the feedback I have seen so far seems positive considering the price.

Thanks! I’m adding the Sightrons to my list of scopes to consider.

.223 for bear, mountain goat, deer, elk, and moose.

I’ve been looking at the SFP Trijicon Credo’s because of your testing and the SWFA 3-9 being tough to find. Do you have any information on whether the Sightron will hold zero? I didn’t see it in the list of tested scopes.

Trijicon 3-9x40 Accupoint vs 3-9x40 Credo

I’ve been doing the same comparison and am leaning towards the credo due to price and this comparison: https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/trijicon-credo-3-9x40mm-q-a.318093/page-4#post-3407061 Crow Hunter TN, how do you think the eye relief compares between the two?

    VOTE: Maven's Next Scope

I would buy one and likely more. I would prefer to not have illumination to save weight.

    AR hunters

I did. I have had it for nearly 10 years and was very comfortable with it before using it for hunting. It was also my first year hunting with a suppressor so that contributed to me liking it. It was nice not having to worry about hearing protection or my ears ringing after a shot. The AR-15...

    AR hunters

I used an AR-15 in 5.56 for whitetail hunting for the first time last year to try out the 77 gr TMK that is talked about so much on here. It is a 16” pencil barrel. I used a 3-9x40 Nikon Prostaff I had sitting in the safe. I’m looking to upgrade optics before next season.

I agree a quick reference would be helpful. I realized I missed a few scopes that passed from JFK’s spreadsheet on page 1.

    Trijicon Credo 3-9x40mm Q&A

Thanks for the comparison between the credo and Accupoint. I was leaning toward the Accupoint until reading this thread. Between what you and Formidilosus have said about the credo, it seems to fit what I need perfectly. Nice buck too!

    Accupoint or s&b

I agree with JakeT - please post an update when you have a chance to use the scope. I am considering an Accupoint since the SWFA scopes I am interested in haven’t been available in over a year.

The penetration was good and there was an exit. The exit in the hide wasn’t very large. We were in a hurry and didn’t inspect the wound channel too closely. I wouldn’t hesitate to use the 62 gr Fusion on a NC whitetail. I also prefer to not waste a lot of meat. Where I shoot in the future will...

    SWFA 3-15

I’m also looking to pick up an optic for my kids to use soon. I’ve been waiting on the SWFA 3-9x, but have started trying to find another option. I am considering the Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40. All of our shots are less than 250 yards so dialing isn’t a big concern. The pros are it is readily...
