I'd vote for a 243AI. You can reuse all your brass and it's easy to ID if you end up shooting competitions. Oh yeah, the critters don't like it either.
RRS is simply amazing. I've tried other tripods like gitzo, leofoto, and even the vortex carbon tripod. None are as solid. Keep your eyes peeled, check FB marketplace, Craigslist, ans offer up. Hopefully luck will fall your way!
For dogs, I've preferred to shoot 55gr bullets in 22-250. It's cooking fast enough it should smoke any dawg out there. Leave the lighter bullets for the varmints.
I see a lot of deals on HDs now but UHDs can be had for almost half of retail. I've had the the 12x50s for a couple of years and they are pretty amazing even when compared to my Geovids. I wouldn't hesitate trying out the UHDs.
I've googled some options but curious if anyone has had personal experience with any of the guided experiences. Our time is limited so we think the best route is to stick with a guide. Thank you.
I really like the American Rifle Company m-brace and Spuhr mounts to move scopes between rifles. I don't think "QD" is necessary to move between rifles... kinda a gimmick IMO. If you're determined to go the QD route, check out BOBRO.
I am a big fan of the Razor UHDs. The entire line isn't the best but the 12x50 is an exceptional pair of binos. I compared them several times to the Geovids and came away with the UHDs. Taking the Vortex discounts into account, it's hard to walk away from.
