I recently picked up a new tikka. I took it apart for degrease and loctite/paint marker. This screw has no threadlocker and was covered in oil. Most factory rifles come out of the factory oiled everywhere. I always degrease, thread lock, and torque everything when I get a new rifle.
I recently acquired a T3x lite and a upr stock. I like the stock but am curious if anyone has any experience with the ctr mags in hunting applications before I invest in them. How do handle cold weather and snow?
The disadvantage to mouth calls is you are directly making the noises so the eyes will be on you. Electronic calls can be placed away from you. If it is a heavily called area I would recommend calling less or less frequent. If everyone is just leaving their call on for 30 minutes the critters...
This was my first batch they didn't respond until I posted it on Reddit and they messaged me after the thread exploded lol. Second batch has been fine but I've got tmks to reload now so this is probably my last batch.
My first batch of TMKs was pretty bad. Multiple FTFs and case failures. Second batch hasn't been bad. SDs in the low 20s out of a gas gun. Factory eldms are around 10-15 for comparison. I ran around 100 otms they ran hot but reliable close to IMI 77gr numbers. I plan on grouping this batch of...
WTS: Maven RS.2 2-10x38 SHR reticle. Come with all the factory stuff minus one sticker. Sitting in a warne one piece mount with butler Creek caps.
I mounted this to my AR but never shot it. Found another SWFA that I'm putting on it instead.

I have an Maven RS.2. The eyebox is very tight but the glass is pretty good. Can't speak on durability. That being said I would take my Trijicon Huron 3-9x40 over it and accept a few more ounces, it's 3 oz heavier.
I had issues with my first batch of AAC 77 TMK. 2 FF and case separation in one AR. So I ran the rest in my PSA beater along with AAC 77gr OTM and IMI bulk. Four more FFs with the TMK and no issues with the others. I just received another batch of TMK to test out again. Chrono data attached. The...
Sorry, was just adding to your comment replying to retest suggestion. I don't think my example constitutes an issue with the rokslide scope testing. I just need to not keep scopes on the edge of my shop desk lol.
Haven't ran the 75 gr. Ran 100 rounds of the 77 gr OTM and 40 of the sabre without issue. I had 4 FTF and some case failures in two different rifles on 77 TMK AAC.
I don't know many if any scopes that last after getting dropped on concrete. The fact that it didn't instantly break surprised me. I will continue to buy SWFA..... If I can find them.
If it is 20" I would guess it is a superlite which are M15.

They are supposed to be coming out with new models. They did a big sale last year closing their store and went to just making scopes. We will see when they actually release anything.
I'm in if it's below 1500. 2-10 and 3-12 are the best magnification range IMO. High base magnifications and high zoom ratios have presented more issues than benefits for my application ( Primarily deer inside 300 and coyotes inside 100.)
SWFA warrantied me by crediting me $300 for the scope. I am thinking about the ultralight model or waiting for the new scopes. For now I threw a Trijicon Huron 3-9x40 on the rifle as a placeholder.
