Just picked up a Cabelas special Tikka T3x Lite D-18 in .243 Win. Gun was on sale for $949 and between other discounts, gift cards, my Cabelas points and a $75 rebate I ended up getting the rifle for $245 out of my pocket….seems like a good deal to me.
I’ve got the Kuiu Brush pant. They are incredibly comfortable and the zipper vents are great for dumping heat when it’s warm out. I’ve worn them several times while pheasant hunting in Oregon. They were great but not sure they would keep really thorny brush from poking through.
Well I am 5’10 and 175. I just tried on my Large Jetstream with a t shirt and hoody on. It fit well and I don’t think a medium would work…too tight in the shoulders.
I have both the Waypoint and the Seekins Element. The Waypoint is definitely a chunky feeling rifle, but it shoots great. If I had to choose one , I’d definitely choose the Seekins though. It shoots lights out and just feels better in my hands.
Well I received my pants today and my initial impression is I like them a lot. They fit similar to the Attacks, maybe a little more room and a bit longer. They seem to be very comfortable. Just curious how they will hold up to a few seasons of chasing pheasants.
I’ll add that I wore the Aerolite several times this year while duck hunting, with temps around 32 degrees. I had to unzip the jacket so I didn’t overheat. But I tend to run warm.
I have both of these jackets. The Aerolite is a very warm jacket for as light as it is. Does a decent job of blocking the wind, but not wind proof. I prefer it over the Kenai, but prefer the fit of the Kenai. The Aerolite is a bit baggy in the body.
Recently picked up an Element in 6.5 PRC but haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet. Plan on running a suppressor on it but curious how the recoil is on this rifle/caliber?
I just purchased a Seekins Element in 6.5 PRC and have a VX6 2-12x42 to put on it. I’d like to use Seekins rings but I’m not sure if I need the low or medium would work. Any help is appreciated.
