Need help with new stone glacier

Just got my new 5900 and it looks really good. I filled it up with blankets to see the size of the pack. The trouble I’m having is the pack is sitting really close to the back of my head. When I tilt my head back just a bit my head hits the pack. Is this a adjustment thing or is that normal...

Stone glacier access bag and spotter bag

Hey all Just wonder how many of you used the access bag for extra capacity on your SG pack. If you do use one or the spotting scope bag can you let me know how they work? I will be adding to a 5900 so it might make the outside pocket harder to use. I’m going to be in the market for both...

    Stone glacier 5900

Ya I was going to buy the 6900 I just didn’t want the extra width of the bag when in day mode I just like the layout of the 5900 better. That being said im slightly worried about capacity but I guess I will just have to be more light weight gear if needed

    Stone glacier 5900

Hey all I have been research packs a lot and I think I’m going with SG. I really want the 5900 I prefer the layout mostly be a day pack but I’m worried it maybe to small for a 7-8 day hunt. I don’t like to tie a bunch of stuff outside of the pack. Thanks for any tips

Making the switch to Seek outside pack

Although the 5400 and 6300 are pretty much the same price. I just think that the 6300 is a huge bag. Do many of you use the 5400 or the 6300 as day packs. Do you find that when you compress the pack that the side pockets don’t work very well? I’m going to get the lanner face pocket and I...

Making the switch to Seek outside pack

Thanks for all the help. I get what your saying but for 90% will be a day pack and then do some weekend and a 1 week backcountry hunt each year. I really like the shape and look of the lanner. I’m going to add a top lid no matter what bag I buy

Making the switch to Seek outside pack

So how would you compare with the MR. Do you prefer the SO over the MR? I like the MR just find the waist belt slips when load gets heavy

Making the switch to Seek outside pack

Im going to order with the top lid and the lanner style pockets on front of bag. I likely not get the break away meat shelf just stay with internal. I’m on the fence with the full length zip also

    Weatherproof-ness of trekking-pole shelters

One thing I will say for the most part tipi are pretty large. We had 2 person tents and the night of the storm the guy sleeping by himself in the tent had enough room to move to the other side of the tent and avoid the weather. The tent my brother and I were in was pretty tight and the guy on...

    Weatherproof-ness of trekking-pole shelters

Last year on sheep hunt in northern bc we brought 3 tipi that set up with trekking pole. Worked ok, easy to setup on hillside with uneven ground. When the weather got bad the wind blow the rain under the sides of tents and we got wet. Also leaving a trekking pole at camp when hiking kind of...

Which KUIU rain gear is quietest? Trying to decide what to buy...

I don’t know if you will be in a tent or cabin. Some of the rain gear that is softer and quieter takes longer to dry out then the louder stuff. Pretty sure Yukon is the way to go if you are set on kuiu
