I have various Kuiu, Sitka, and First Lite and like them all for various reasons.
My newest and current favorite is the Eberlestock Pioneer Half Zip. The webbing makes it very cushy and comfortable. I have worn it over a 145 Merino base layer and was impressed. I will get another color...
How do you rate them, compared?
I’m going to start a 7mm PRC (22”) soon and want a can that will attach with a brake; no direct thread on this build. I was leaning towards a UL7 or UL5 but am open to the Gunwerks, Nomad Ti, and the Dominus too. I know they are all good choices but am looking...
The comment regarding great for new/young hunters is spot on. My kids use a 6.8 with a 2-7x33 VXR with illuminated dot, an Omega 300, and collapsible stock make it about perfect. The lack of recoil and noise, quick adjustable stock to each of their lengths, and overall handiness, shooting a 120...
I like First Lite products, especially their base layers and various pants but they discontinue items quickly. They’re making it hard to be a repeat, long term customer.
I’m leaning towards LaCrosse Alphaburly Pro or the Aerohead Sport Snake Boot both non-insulated. Is one more comfortable on your feet than the other? Is one better about not having boot slap?
I would consider Irish Setter Mudtrek Snake boots too but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.
I...

I’m not opposed to buying extra pieces but am trying to figure why I would want to use the Axis Thermal vs the other two and what that condition is.
Thanks!
I wear 36”s in both the Kutana and Attacks. The Kutana feel like a more formed, cut fit where the Attacks are a bit more relaxed, but not baggy.
I bought a solid color of Kutanas in Bourbon, Buckskin, and Loden this past summer. The Loden fit tighter than the others FWIW.
All said and done, I...
I was contemplating an Ultra with the Axis but after seeing the comments about the Kenai, I’m leaning towards it now as a layer under the Axis.
I like Large for the base layers and typically get XL jackets. The XL Guide DCS fits me comfortably tight with thin-er layers underneath like a merino...
My recap with Hornady 190gr subs.
Shot a WT doe at 60 yards center shoulder and she dropped. Loaded up my gear and went to retrieve her and she was gone. I trailed her for 30 yards, looked for 2 hours that evening then the next day, but never found her.
2nd WT doe was at 75 yards. Dropped her...
