Ended up getting the Swaro ELs. Time and Optics in Amish country Ohio was recommended to me to go have a look. Absolutely amazing place with dozens of high-end binoculars and tons of spotting scopes to compare. The people that work there are super nice and their prices are good.
Now to get a...
Good info, I think I’ve convinced myself that it’s swaro or no upgrade. I’ll keep my eye out for a demo pair or a really nice discount somewhere.
Thanks everyone for the input, you’ve made future me poor but happy
That’s what I’m thinking to convince myself. I don’t want to get a new set just to be in the same spot in 1-2 years. There is another thread about upgrading from the conquest to the EL and I want to avoid that situation
So I was able to go to Cabela’s (live very close).
Tried the swaro El, zeiss conquest hd, razor hd, razor uhd. All in 10x42
Fell in love with the swaro of course. The uhd was pretty nice but $300 more gets the swaro. Zeiss was much better than the razor hd, but didn’t wow me as much as the...
That’s the hard part, I’m going to check out Cabela’s since they have “limited stock” in a few of them. But, I doubt I’ll be able to look outside at all and the optics desk is in the middle of the store.
I’m thinking about getting a new pair of binos for hunting for both out west and in Ohio. My current pair is a a vortex diamondback HD10x42 Opmod, and before those were some old Bushnell bone collectors.
My current set wasn’t really that useful for glassing in the last 30ish minutes of legal...
I have the K4 rifle carrier and it seems pretty good. Setting it up takes some time, or at least it did for me. The height was set to where my bipod could move up and hit the buckle on the quick release when slinging my bag onto my shoulders, thus sending my rifle into a free fall. I was next to...
I got my k4 on Friday and was able to play around with it. I got the 3600 with 25" frame but I think I'm going to jump up to both the 26.5" stays and the 5000 pack. Going to call tomorrow to see how that process of exchanging goes, and getting other accessories.
my previous pack was a Mystery...
By definition, yes. For internet points, no. Of course a 5 shot group would be better, but I wasn't going to use $15 of my dad's ammo for 1 group. Since its a hunting rifle, we were more than happy to have consistent shots like this
Just throwing my experience here. My dad picked up a carbon rogue in 300 win mag and ended up putting groups up less than .2 MOA (200yards, only 2 shots). I decided to get a 300 prc carbon rogue and took it to a range yesterday and had a hit on 16” steel at 1 mile. So I’m quite pleased with our...
