12ae vs 12aw are far different in terms of potential quality imo. Unless you really know the area I would not hold out for a 200 would be lucky to get a 150.
If you have unlimited money def get higher powered quality optics. If you are not made of money 10 will work just fine may just have to adapt your style a bit, you prob won’t pick off deer at a mile with 10s.
Keep in mind I have heard the short action may struggle to feed the 156 grains in the 6.5prc. I have a short action 6.5 prc but have never tried shooting anything heavier than 140gr so I can’t say if that is true or just internet rumors.
My 6.5 prc sure would be hard to beat, it’s a laser out to 1100 all day. Not sure how far I would shoot an elk or bear with it. Im shooting 140 gr, maybe 500? I only use it for antelope and deer.
Unfortunately I need a new car so I have to sell one of my favorite rifles.
asking $2000 for everything in the picture except sling.
•Savage action (LEFT HAND)
•custom barrel cut chambered and installed by Phoenix custom rifles
•mdt chassis
•sig tango 6 scope moa ffp 30mm
• leupold...
I agree, I only shoot suppressed. If it’s not suppressed I prefer not to even shoot it at this point. The guns do get long so I understand the barrel length issue.
Biggest thing is that Bergara action most likely will never have the accuracy capabilities of a hand made rifle unless it is trued. You could have got lucky but most likely it will be your limiting factor if you build off that action. You need to have it trued by a good gunsmith. Once it is...
I think it is here to stay just most people now have one so less are selling. I personally do not I went with 6.5prc just to be different and waste more money…..
I would get an old school 45-70….would be cool to get one with an old lever gun imo. I personally would want something bigger atleast a 308 l/30-06 300wm etc, but I guess it depends on the distance angle etc.
