    USPS ground

As ridiculous as this sounds....a friend of mine is a local Postmaster. He had 2 employees who committed 3 mail related FELONIES each. USPS would not let him fire them, due to union grievances, etc. Tried to fire them after the first felonies, no go. Tried again after 2nd felonies....nope. After...

Got my new toy today at a locally owned archery shop!

Welcome back to archery. Sounds like you have a very good shop there. Great deal and great instruction. Sadly, that's not the case in a lot of areas. Was looking at bows in a locally owned store a few years back, and even the owners personal bow was a mess. Cams out of time, arrow pointing off...

    Quietest bow???

Like alot of guys have said, I'd check the bow over top to bottom, tighten everything, and shoot again. Bought a new top of the line Bowtech last year due to shoulder injury, and it is louder, with more vibration/hand shock than my 2014-2015 Obsession Evolutions. It does draw smoother though...

What arrows are you shooting...not weight but brand

Victory VAP. Been shooting them for 15+ years, and never had a problem other than their old aluminum half-outserts. They have since pretty well taken care of that problem. I shoot short arrows, so buy the cheapest VAP's I can find (usually "gamer",006), then cut an inch of nock end, cut the rest...

    Favorite Practice Targets

Been shooting High Rollers as well. Usually last a year or two, then time to replace. Strange thing to me is, even the very first shot penetrates up to the fletching, or deeper, but takes alot of shots to actually wear one of the things out. I almost exclusively shoot broadheads, only using...

    Insert glue

Been using Bob Smith Industries thick the last couple years. Before that, blue cap locktite superglue. With any of the CA glues, you can still remove an insert if needed. Screw in a field point, slowly heat it up with a torch, or over the burners on the stove, and just keep trying to pull the...

I know a lot about guns but I don't know shit about bows.

Good advice from the guys above. I always say, shoot a bunch of bows, and let the bow pick YOU. One will stand out as the easiest to hold steady, shoot smoothest, draw best, something that makes it stand out for YOU. Never ignore the "sales rack" of used bows. I have 14 bows in my arsenal right...

    New guy from Kansas

So far no plans to go out west again this year. Got a hog hunt coming up in March down in Alabama. Never been on one before, so should be interesting and fun. Taking both the bow and rifle, not really knowing what to expect. Hoping to make it out west, or up into Canada for a hunt next year though.

    New guy from Kansas

Just joined, but have been reading posts for a while. Seems to be a lot of knowledge in this forum, and some very good advice. Hope I can eventually add to it, and help anyone I can. Been bow hunting for about 32 years. Mostly whitetail and turkey here in southeast Ks. Been tuning and working on...
