I just grabbed a pair of Hestra Ergo Grip Active gloves on sale and they are by far the best pair of gloves I have ever worn. They are completely wind proof with really good articulation. Hestra is expensive but their build quality, fit and sizing makes it worth it. I had a pair of their leather...
Oh man, we learned this the hard way on our first day Elk hunting last fall (my first hunt). I did hours and hours of E-Scouting and the first day we fought so hard over rocks and cliffs to get to a glassing spot. We finally got to the spot and the only open area to see was about 500 yards...
As beautiful as that sock is, I have to say there is something absolutely hypnotic about how that helical bolt flows into the carbon weave. Nice job man.
I do know that moneybombs are a great way to raise funds and the shorter timeframe makes people more likely to donate. It also sends a political message that people raised $100,000 in 24 hours or whatever the timeframe.
I had an experience like this back when Utah let you target shoot on the West side of Utah lake. I was walking back after doing a run and gun course I set up and suddenly heard a strange WHOOSH sound. I ducked down by a knoll and heard it a few more times. Apparently some guys were shooting...
From my understanding I agree. It would be like somebody buying a gun then doing an FFL sale to a private party which is legal in Colorado. I won a shotgun from Remington once and shipped the old one to my brother. I took it to a gun shop and they shipped it to a local FFL gun store in WA and my...
But how will CO come up with all that sweet money from Texas OTC tags?
Oh yeah taxes...
In all seriousness, it would be cool if CO actually took care of residents like NM does where 80% have to be in state. If I have to put up with Jared Polis's bull crap for the rest of the year I should at...
A really good deal on some awesome gloves. These rarely go on sale so I would definitely grab these if your in the market:

I agree with others that a shop is best if you can budget it. The thing with private bow sales is you never really know if the bow was abused or dry fired etc. That and you will probably need a restring which can run $200 with a tune.
I agree with what others have said, E-Scout and show up with a general strategy and run with it. Also, keep in mind the terrain is often very different in real life than on OnX. I did a ton of E-Scouting before my first elk hunt last fall and when we finally got boots on the ground I realized...
This is wisdom. I watched a bunch of GoHunt backpack hunt films and really wanted to get into that. When I did my first elk hunt last fall it was a reality check on keeping up good health, being effective at hunting and mobility. We camped in a tent and used a SxS and was out all day and it was...
Also buy some quality gaiters. Even if its not drizzling the grass and ferns are going to be damp and covered in dew all year. Its insane how wet it gets back there when things get tight.
Its all private land but I am pretty sure you can bow hunt for deer on a lot of the islands such as Bainbridge and Vashon island. The deer are pretty fat from eating people's gardens and the have become a pretty significant nuisance in some places.
I was born and raised in Seattle and Spokane. Get some good raingear and I also recommend a natural-light lamp for the winter. Seasonal depression is real in Seattle when the grey clouds move in for the winter. Seattle is about as opposite to Texas as it gets in regards to politics, climate...
I got a PSE Nighthawk for Christmas and have been very happy with it. The bow looks good too and have a quality fit and finish. You can get bow squares for about $15 on Amazon and its easy to set up a nock point. Make sure you get a stringer and an arm guard as well.
I have an old Hoyt Aspen from around 2004 that I still have. I enjoy shooting it because the bow draws more like a recurve and it is a good backup for hunting.
I am pretty sure that is the one as we saw quite a few. The cows were probably the worst though. We would be hunkered in waiting at a beaver pond only to have a curious cow come up and moo at us for 30 min. That is what it crazy about southern Colorado. You will be up at 12,000 ft only to run...
