Kenetrek guide 400s will cover most of that, they do have a hard rubber sole, so ice is a little slippery, but wet ground is just fine. The 400s can get a little warm in the early hunts, but once the weather drops into the 40s and 50s they are great all the way down to 0. I wear the thinner...

Loaded these up early August and took my antelope with that load a few weeks ago. Have deer coming up in October still.

That's where I was going, the $40 boots from Walmart will leave you miserable. The difference in the $200 and $400 boots tends to be longevity/durability. I could make a $200 pair of dancers work for a week long hunt, but next season I would be looking for a new pair, been there done that...
I wouldn't cut corners on boots, that can ruin your trip very quickly. The rest of the clothing gear can be anything you have available, blue jeans and a warm jacket will work fine where I hunt. There are plenty I'd sun $500 rifles that will shoot well out to 300 yards if you do your part...
Another vote for the MR pop up. I have a 28 and it has been great. Packed out many elk and deer with it, still holding on strong. Had over 100lbs in the pack on a 5 mile elk pack out a few years ago.

This is the second year I took tags from the 25% pool, had an elk tag last year. Before last year I only knew it existed because of my hunting party always pulling from the pool.

Drew a buck tag out east in the normal unit, and a warner lope tag, both out of the 25% this year. My brother has an elk tag out east too. Looking forward to this summer/fall.

The odot road cam on Hwy 3 near flora doesn't show much snow on the side of the road, that is about 4400ft elevation. The lower elevations in ches should be clearing up during the next heat wave. Unless we get another cold spell, early may should be clear under 5k ft.

Every year, roughly 1000 bags per year so far.
The manual says 100 hours I believe, which I don't think I hit in a year but I don't really pay attention to run hours.

I have a vacmaster 215, over 2k bags in 2 years and works like a champ still.
Big thing is to change the oil regularly if it is an oil style vacuum pump. I change mine every fall.
Lem makes a unit that costco sells, those are probably the Chinese variety and lots of guys have good luck with...
6 in total, 4 uprights and 2 chest freezers. One upright is at the coast for bait, one upright and chest at home for bait, one chest that is kind of portable for hunting camp and two uprights for food. Come November they are plumb full of seafood and game. Right now one is nearly empty and the...
Atlas bipod with the QD mount for me. I have the leg extensions for it and can use it off my pack if I need even more height. Shot on a downhill slope off my pack and bipod last year just fine. The weight is worth it. If I am beating brush, it comes off and goes into my pack as it does tend to...
Always have had lots of time where I elk hunt. Often spot them 1000+ yds away and make a plan to get within 500 yds. The last one we watched a heard of 35 elk feeding for an hour before I took the shot. Always am ready for a split second shot but never had to react that fast yet.
