Best Boots for wearing all day and walking?

That is a great question. I don't know that they would be any more comfortable than any other boot on the concrete however, I am typically walking the dog for 1 to 2 hours a day on the concrete. Of course I am only wearing these boots to walk the dog in the winter (so 3 or 4 months of the year...

Best Boots for wearing all day and walking?

This may not be at all what you are looking for however, I purchased two pair of Danner Pronghorn boots at Cabelas in 2008 for an elk hunt in Idaho. I have worn them deer hunting every year and four elk hunts after 2008. In addition to that, one of the two pair gets worn every day in the...

How do you deal with suicide....

I am going to go a little bit different direction with my response so please bear with me. My perspective on suicide would have been the same as yours until I watched my father die from stomach cancer. He never gave up and fought until the bitter end. I was 16 years old and he was 48 years old...

    Dropping pack to stalk...

Thank you for bringing that to my attention Bigborealaska. Sorry if my post was confusing. I should have clarified that the additional item I take is a headlamp and a flashlight (barely bigger than the AAA battery that powers it) as a backup. I was responding to the initial question of...

    Longest Trad Kill.. ?

Put my 60 yard pin on a bull elk that was 40 yards away. Missed clean and the bull ran off. I was able to call the bull back in for a second shot. The bull stood in almost the same spot, I pulled back and chose my 40 yard pin this time. At the shot, the bull jumped the string and ran up the...

    Dropping pack to stalk...

For what it is worth. If I have a fresh set of batteries in my headlamp, I carry a small flashlight that is barely larger than the AAA battery that it runs on. This way, I have light if my headlamp battery dies, or if the headlamp stops working (falls off and breaks, etc.)

    Teach Me

One of my favorite stories about glassing has to do with two of my friends who set out on their own to hunt the same mountainous area. When the sun came up they were within 30 yards of each other! The point being that studying the map to pick a vantage point to glass from can be almost as...

What do you want from your woman?

For what it is worth. If he is anything like some of my friends, there is likely something that he really wants but, feels that it is too expensive (for what it is). It doesn't need to be an expensive item, just something that he wants but, can't justify purchasing. I hunt whitetail deer in...
