Yes that definitely helps. I think I’m gonna try one. My main concern was glass quality and that answers. Also having a better eye relief helps too. Thanks for your reply
For those of you that have had both, I am considering a NXS 3.5-15x50 for a lightweight 300 WSM I’m building. I have an NX8 2.5-20 F2 on a 6 Dasher target rifle and to be quite honest, I’m not a huge fan of the glass quality and eye box. So much so, I don’t think I’d ever run it on a hunting...
I can't believe it, my backorder from 12 or so months ago finally came through. I'll be accepting property in Montana, '67 GT500's, and stone sheep hunts for trade. Nothing less. I know what I have..
I have a 6 dasher and it's a wicked little cartridge. It's way too easy to load for. 32-33 gr of Varget, SRP's, and 105/109 hybrids.
With the new berger 25 cal bullets, I would like to do a 25x47 someday. The 6 XC is also up there on the list..
I did a 700 short action, with a Wyatts PRC kit. I would not do it again, getting it feed correctly was a PITA. I can't speak on one in a LA, but I think it would be better.
I would look really hard at a 300 WSM w/ a 20-22" tube and 200-215 class bullets. Especially since better brass is slowly becoming available (ADG). I'm doing a 20" 300 WSM and hoping to get 2800-2850 w/ 200.20x.
If the eyebox and glass isn't horrible (I have an NX8 2.5-20 and hate it), this looks like it has great potential. Big fan of the 4-25. My only complaint is it weighs 36/39 oz.
Since you're willing to reload and want to get back into it, I would buy it. Sounds like a cool rifle and the 6.5x47 is a known shooter. I want to do a 25x47 someday.
Plus, think of all the money you'll save in 5.11 tactical pants not buying a Creedmoor! Lol
