i wouldn't do that style of bivy. That thing is as heavy as most 1-2 person tents, smaller, and removes all the good parts of a bivy. If you want a bivy, do a katabatic pinon or borah bug net bivy in a combination with a tarp. It is much more versatile, and light. But if this is going to be your...
I think software engineering is a saturated field over the last couple years now. It was a bit easier of a degree, and you could make even more money, so there was a mass influx of people studying it recently, and now the market is saturated. Money is definitely still there, it will be just...
I am going to add on to this, and emphasis look at the career field and the job, and let that determine what classes you take. Don't try to dodge a degree or specific classes, because they are too hard. The example I always like to give is to compare mechanical engineering (ME) vs mechanical...
I am an Electrical Engineer, and I would say to not overlook that. If he is interested in working in the power industry, there are utilities all over the west. They can be harder to get into, but if you get into them they have great time off, good pay (electricals usually make more then civils...
Thanks for the heads up. I don't think I can edit my post as a new guy, so I apologize in advance to everyone. I know unit dropping is usually shamed but figured since it was a hard to draw hunt, it was kosher. My bad!
I drew a Mule Deer tag in Idaho for rifle during the Rut. Hunt dates are between November 10th through November 24th. I have only been in the west for 1 and half years, grew up in the Midwest before this, so still very new to this whole thing. I've never even harvested a mule deer before.
My...
I will second the Aziak! It is ridiciously light, very stable, with a lot of functionality. Sure, it is a sitting only tripod, but for good glassing you want to be as low as possible. He does have the Aziak Front country now, I don't know as much about that tripod, but I do know it is bigger...
thanks for the input! I didn't even realize the ranch didn't come in the 6 creedmoor. I was leaning towards the 6.5 anyway, but I think this is going to push me to the 6.5 for sure, in the ranch.
That’s what I’m thinking! I’m a backpack hunter so I’d like the handiness of it. Do you see any velocity pickup with using that suppressor with the 16 inch barrel versus without the suppressor?

I found the table AKG referenced, and if I used that as a guideline, I think I’d getting roughly 2500 fps with Eldm factory out of the 16 inch barrel. That looks like I’d be good out to 600 yards, if I’m looking for that 1800 fps to get that expansion.
Am I right clperry or am I missing...
Hello Everyone,
I was curious to get peoples inputs on barrel length for these rifles, or barrel length in general for 6.5 and 6 creedmoor.
I am looking at a new potential rifle, and was looking at the ruger american gen 2, in either a 6 or 6.5 creedmoor eventually. (Everyone can save their...
