    1187 compact 20g

    Half the season here in PA starts tomorrow. I’ve shot a 1187 12 and Ithaca mag 10 for turkey in the past. Im going to get a used 20 g 1187 compact 21” barrel. Looking for choke constriction for #6 shot lead haven’t tried tss yet. Im going to look into tss with the 20 g for next year.

    243 Win Loads for Deer

    95 gr nosler BT with Imr or h4350 for me. My farmer buddy uses 75 gr vmax for his daughters he’s got 4 13 - 29 gets there whitetails in PA every year. Recovery within 50 yards.

    Tc encore 243 rifle

    Looking for some suggestions on reloading for this encore 243win 28”barrel. Seems to have a short throat and a 1-10 twist. Interested in maybe 70-85 grain bullets. Igot a bunch of powder 80gr Sierra blitz and 85gr Sierra flat base. Wanting to use for crows,woodchucks, just varmints in general...

    speed or weight?

    I’ve been reloading 120nos BT and VARGET for whitetail since I started reloading. Also have used 139-140 bullets also. Can’t over think it find a round that’s accurate out of your 7-08 and put meat on the pole.

    243 win 28” barrel powder advice

    Getting a 243 win barrel 28”. Looking to shoot 70-90 grain tips. Haven’t used a long barrel would I use a bit slower powder because of the longer length barrel. I’m accustomed to 22-24”. 1-10 twist I usually use Imr 4350 or h 4350 and at times rl15 or VARGET.
